Le temple païen de Garni a été construit dans la seconde moitié du 1er siècle par le roi Trdat III. C'est le seul temple païen conservé sur le territoire arménien. Après l'adoption du christianisme, il devint la résidence d'été de Khosrovadukht, soeur du roi Trdat III. Il a été détruit en 1679 par un tremblement de terre. Des parties, des fragments de colonnes gracieuses et des pierres murales ont été répartis autour du temple. On suppose que le temple a été dédié à Mithra, le dieu du soleil. Le temple de Garni figure sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
L'Arc de Charents est situé près d'Erevan, entre le temple païen de Garni et le complexe du monastère chrétien de Geghard, dans le village de Vokhchaberd. À première vue, l'Arche semble être la plus ordinaire et la plus banale, mais en se rapprochant, en passant à la plate-forme à l'intérieur de l'arche et en regardant le panorama, tout devient clair - c'est le meilleur endroit pour admirer la grande et sacrée montagne d'Ararat. , pour être en harmonie avec elle et profiter du beau paysage.
Le monastère de Geghard est l'une des plus grandes structures architecturales médiévales d'Arménie. Geghard est complètement creusé dans une grotte, on l'appelle aussi «monastère de la grotte». Ce monastère a été fondé au 4ème siècle après JC. à la place de la source sacrée, originaire de la grotte. Le nom du complexe du monastère Geghard (lance) vient de la lance Langin’n, qui a percé le corps de Jésus-Christ sur la croix. Pour le moment, cette lance est conservée au musée d'Etchmiadzin. Le monastère de Geghard est inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
Dans la province de Kotayk, non loin du village Garni se trouve l'un des monuments naturels les plus connus et les plus beaux d'Arménie - Symphonie de pierres. On dit que ce monument naturel est le résultat de l'effondrement des roches volcaniques.Le monument se compose d'énormes colonnes de basalte paradoxalement symétriques et pentagones (près de 50 mètres de haut). Ces pierres suspendues contre la gravité ressemblent à un organe, ce qui explique pourquoi il est également appelé «tuyaux d'orgue en basalte». La rivière d'Azat coule à travers les gorges, parsemant ainsi la beauté envoûtante des pierres de burble. Du territoire du monument, vous pouvez également entrer dans la réserve d'État de la forêt de Khosrov et découvrir l'une des zones spécialement protégées de l'Arménie.

We had an amazing experience with Jan Armenia, and a big part of that was because of our guide and driver, Arshak. From day one, he was always before time, cheerful, polite, and incredibly helpful. As pure vegetarians, finding the right food was a challenge because of the language barrier, but he went out of his way to help us choose and order the right food everywhere we went. He even introduced us to local fruits and dishes we would have otherwise missed. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about making our trip special. He accompanied us to almost every place, climbed up to monasteries with us, explained the history, architecture, and significance of each place, and shared so many interesting stories about Armenia. He also took us to a few beautiful spots that weren't part of the itinerary but knew our son would absolutely love them. Those little surprises made our trip even more memorable. He also saved us from unnecessary haggling and places where tourists could easily be overcharged. Every stop was thoughtfully planned with clean washrooms, good coffee, and food options which made travelling with family so much easier. By the end of the trip, it genuinely felt like we were travelling with a local friend. His warmth, patience, knowledge, and hospitality made our Armenia trip unforgettable.
