Mais si vous souhaitez en faire plus lors de votre visite du joyau de Kedah, assurez-vous d'ajouter cette visite de Tanjung Rhu à votre itinéraire ! Visitez la célèbre forêt de mangroves de l'archipel et d'autres attractions à proximité en seulement une demi-journée. Vous vous arrêterez à Crocodile Cave et Bat Cave, Gorilla Mountain, Shoes Island, Monkey Island et ferez une visite de la mer d'Andaman. Après votre exploration, vous assisterez au nourrissage des aigles et profiterez du spectacle de poissons ! Vous aurez la possibilité de choisir entre une excursion en bateau partagée ou privée, selon vos besoins. Un chauffeur/guide sympathique et le transport aller-retour à l'hôtel sont inclus pour compléter votre journée !

Itinéraire
La visite commence par une prise en charge à l'hôtel/au port par notre chauffeur local jusqu'à la jetée.
Voyagez en bateau à travers les méandres de la rivière Kilim à travers le labyrinthe créé par les racines aériennes et les feuilles épaisses et charnues des palétuviers. Nous voyons souvent des animaux de mangrove qui ont élu domicile dans cet écosystème délicatement équilibré, responsable de la santé et de la grande variété d'espèces de la mer d'Andaman. Nous explorons également comment la zone de mangrove est un environnement parfait pour les industries artisanales telles que les fermes piscicoles. Notre premier arrêt est Le batelier arrêtera le moteur et jettera quelques morceaux de poulet dans l'eau pour inviter les aigles. Et en un rien de temps, vous verrez des aigles plonger juste à côté de vous et griffer les morceaux de poulet et les manger alors qu'ils s'envolent dans le ciel. En sortant des mangroves, vous verrez de majestueuses formations rocheuses calcaires et des cheminées marines qui s'élèvent de façon spectaculaire de l'océan. Cet ancien corail poussé dans le ciel il y a des millions d'années abrite un groupe unique et ancien de plantes que l'on ne trouve nulle part ailleurs sur terre
Nous allons ensuite explorer des grottes de chauves-souris obscures et nous imprégner de contes légendaires de mystères et de romance.
La visite d'une ferme piscicole flottante moderne et d'une ferme piscicole locale fait partie de l'excursion. Notre bateau vous déposera à la ferme piscicole flottante dans une crique isolée entourée de hautes falaises verticales de calcaire et de granit. Vous aurez tout le temps nécessaire pour voir les raies pastenagues. Il y a également un certain nombre de créatures marines conservées dans les « réservoirs », mais nous n'en révélerons pas trop - cela vaut bien le voyage. Après une demi-journée avec une nouvelle expérience, le bateau retournera à la jetée et le chauffeur vous déposera à votre hôtel/port de départ

Doing the Private Mangroves Tour in Langkawi is a must. The boat is to yourself, you have un obstructed view of each point, from the Eagle feeding to the Monkeys (there was so many) it's a very personal experience that is well worth the extra cost. The Fish farm was so unique, the local resident of the farm showed us an array of species and we had the pleasure to even pat the friendly string rays and sharks and then choose our fish which they prepared and so we can. Nothing quire beats having such a delicious fresh meal in the middle of the sea. This was my favourite trip in Langkawi and is a must for anyone to do...
A fabulous experience. We were picked up from the port at the agreed time, driven by the informative and friendly Eddy to the boats. Harry was a great boatman with amazing eyes for spotting wildlife. All in all a great day.
The private tour was worth it. Having the guide for ourselves made a great difference from needing to cope with a group.
Unfortunately I was silly and thought the price I was quoted was local currency, so I thought I was getting a bargain. After booking I realized the price was in Singaporean dollars, and about 4 times the price I thought I was paying. My fault for not checking, but felt misleading for website to show prices in a different currency. The company were not able to refund me as I booked 21 hours before the trip and they don't allow refunds within 24 hours of the trip - even though I tried to cancel immediately after booking. We just had to go with it even though I could have booked for half the price through the hotel. This was a bad start to the trip, but.... on the plus side the landscape was beautiful and the boat was fun. Overall we enjoyed it, but a few things were not as described and ultimately we felt ripped off. We were sold a premium lunch. What we got was a plastic bag with a tiny piece of fish and rice and a bag full of soup or sauce. There was no food or drinks provided for our 3 year old even though we had paid for him. We were rushed through the trip and told we could eat the lunch at the end on the beach. The beach was beautiful so this would have been nice, but when we were dropped at the beach we had no plates or spoons to eat the food. I guess we were supposed to drink the soup from the bag. Not what I expected after spending $400usd for just 2 adults and a young child. For half the price I would have been fine with this. We also had to pack up the lunch (we actually threw it away) because we were told the trip had ended and our driver had another job so could not wait for us to even eat the food. The trip states 3.5 hours but according to the driver the trip was only 2 hours. Also, just a small thing, but the itinerary said they feed the eagles so you can see them up close. This did not happen, apparently there are restrictions on this now. Which I understand, but the trip description should be updated. Ultimately, this felt like a basic experience at a premium price point. I recommend you book directly through your hotel or even ask a local driver to organise this trip for you to ensure you get your money's worth.... And skip the lunch option.
The whole experience was very smooth. My Driver Bakhtiar picked me from my hotel on time. My boat guide Hanif was very friendly and knowledgeable, kept me engaged the whole time. He also took amazing pictures of me. The whole experience 10/10 would recommend.
Had a really good time seeing the wonderful rainforest islands of Langkawi, definitely a worthy experience to get on a boat and see the nature, included a good guide and a lunch too.
