La forteresse Minčeta domine la partie nord-ouest la plus élevée de la ville. Il s'agit d'une grande tour circulaire dotée d'un créneau massif suspendu par des supports en pierre. La première tour quadrangulaire, plus petite, a été construite par Nikifor Ranjina en 1319.
La forteresse de Bokar était considérée comme le point clé de la défense de la mer occidentale ainsi que comme une approche terrestre de la ville. Le fort a été conçu par l'architecte florentin Michelozzo di Bartolomeo Michelozzi comme un bâtiment semi-circulaire à deux étages.
La forteresse Saint-Jean (Sveti Ivan) est l'une des impressionnantes défenses médiévales de cette ville. Les tours datent du 14ème siècle et la structure principale du 16ème siècle. Souvent appelée tour Mulo, la forteresse Saint-Jean est un autre fort clé du complexe défensif des remparts de la ville de Dubrovnik.

Great way to start our time and Dubrovnik learn a little bit about the history walk the historic walls and get a little bit of Game of Thrones law include included in the mix. Our guide Edi was great at keeping the whole group engaged, using fact blended with humor to help us understand the complex history of Croatia Would recommend
We joined a small group close to the walls and our Guide, Davor, handed out headsets and helped everyone get set up. Everyone had already bought their tickets to enter the walls so it was quick and easy to get through the entrance. Davor was a really excellent guide, it kept us all intrigued and interested for the whole tour, which was over an hour. When we were hit by a rain storm Davor organised rain capes for us all and offered exit plans for anyone who wanted to finish early. We really recommend this tour, it was interesting and gave a great insight into the history of Dubrovnik which I wouldn't have learnt otherwise.

Fantastic way to see Dubrovnik Old City! Ermina was Incredible guide for my husband and I to learn about the city, the culture of Dubrovnik, Croatia and surrounding areas. Guide never showed up. After waiting 15-20 min at the meeting place, I messaged Viator who said they couldn’t get a replacement for another hour, which didn’t work with our itinerary. They apologized and refunded me, but definitely a disappointment and we didn’t get the experience we were hoping for. The walking of the walls offers beautiful views though!

The tour is exclusively on top of the city walls which gives a unique perspective of the old city, the sea and everything below. Our excellent guide provided not only a thorough history of Dubrovnik and it’s famous fortress, but also what life was like then, the many invaders and wars leading up to the fall of communism and the beginning of the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991. We also learned much about contemporary life in Dubrovnik and Croatia as well. All this while walking up and down the 1,080 steps of the Walls Tour. Our guide and the experience were great. Our party of 3 highly recommend!
