Visite privée des remparts et de la ville de Dubrovnik

Description

This tour was truly outstanding, and everyone in my party considered the experience the highlight of our Mediterranean vacation. Dubrovnik is an absolutely beautiful city, with breathtaking views from every angle. Our guide on the wall walk was exceptional. He was professional and personable and shared so much information. Our group included an 80 year old who walk with a cane, and our guide was adept in pacing the walk so that he was able to handle this challenging walk.
We had an amazing tour along the walls. It was very hot but our guide Dijana was awesome and told us lots about the history and the pace of the tour was very good. You need to be relatively fit as there are 2 or 3 steep sections with about 50 to 60 steps each time.
Go early - was not crowded! Our guide Anja was great - she made it fun for the parents and the 9 year old! Also had tips on where to find water, bathrooms, do some shopping in town and get a wonderful Bellini on the walls.
Our guide was very knowledgable about Dubrovnik and answered all of our questions. He was full of information about the city and the city walls. It was very hot the day that we visited, and our guide walked a little too fast for some people in our group. He would also start talking before everyone in the group had caught up. Other than that, the tour was good and the views from the walls were fantastic!
Of all of our tours in both split and Dubrovnik, this was our least favorite. Our guide, Mateo, was very heavy on the topics of politics and religion, which I found personally uncomfortable. His stories and explanations were also long winded and hard to pay attention to. He also unfortunately smelled like BO, which was not ideal. We did see some cool sites in town, but these were overshadowed by smells and political rants. The city walls were beautiful, but we didn’t feel like we got much out of having a guide with us. We were very excited to splurge on a private tour, but we were disappointed at how lackluster it ended up being. I would skip this tour if I were to do it again.
Hello Andrea, I am so sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with out guide Mateo. He is one of our stars and if you check our latest reviews for this tour, you will notice only 5 stars connected with his name. Religion and politics, history and trivia connected with present way of living inside of the walls....all these subjects as a mixture, makes our tour unique. I apologize if you felt uncomfortable, satisfaction of our clients is our priority and as this is a private tour our clients can always communicate what topics they prefer the most. One more time, I am so sad that you were not satisfied with our tour and if you ever decide to return to Dubrovnik, please contact us and I am 100% sure that we will change your mind. Sincerly Josip Soletic
The Dubrovnik old town tour and walking the walls was amazing! Matteo was very knowledgeable and passionate about his city which made the tour a lot of fun. He also had some great recommendations along the way. The walls had some steps to climb, but was not too strenuous. The views from the walls were simply incredible.Highly recommended!
This was a very informative tour. The tour guide gave us a lot of historical information. He also recommended places to eat and places for the best gelato. I would recommend this tour.
Very interesting tour with lots of information. Be ready to walk a lot and go up very steep stairs but the views are worth it. Totally recommend if you want to see all parts of the wall.
We had a great and lively tour with our local guide Anja. Anja was one of the most energetic and engaging guides we’ve had anywhere in Europe. She mixed in a lot of history, views, fun, a few Game of Thrones connections, and a thoroughly enjoyable walk on the City Walls around the whole of old town Dubrovnik. We also had a tour of some key sites of old Dubrovnik, some post-tour recommendations, and a throughly entertaining visit. Like most private tours, Anja came with a plan but was ready to customize it to our interests - so you could just walk part of the City Walls, or focus your tour as you like. Be aware the City Walls walk has a lot of stairs and is a couple kilometres around - but it’s worth it.
Very enjoyable tour! Our tour guide, Matt, was super knowledgeable and provided excellent historical and cultural information as we walked thru the old city and along the walls. Highly recommended!
