À 5 ou 6 heures du matin, votre chauffeur viendra vous chercher et se dirigera vers Haridwar, qui est à environ 5 heures de route. Votre premier arrêt sera Har ki Pauri. Connu pour être l'un des Ghâts les plus sacrés du pays, Har Ki Pauri est censé être le premier endroit où le Ganga touche les plaines, laissant derrière lui les chaînes vierges de l'Himalaya. Le ghat est également connu sous le nom de Brahma Kund où vous pouvez voir la pierre qui a une empreinte du pied du Seigneur Vishnu, comme le souligne le nom. Vous explorerez également deux ponts à Rishikesh. Le premier est Lakshman Jhula, le pont suspendu populaire qui traverse la rivière sainte Ganga. Ce Jhula de 450 pieds de long est construit à une hauteur de 70 pieds de la rivière et est à environ 3 kms de la ville principale de Rishikesh. L'autre pont est Ram Jhula qui est le pont de fer Parallax sur la rivière Ganga à Rishikesh. Ram Jhula est le pont plus récent nommé d’après le frère de Lakshman, Lord Ram.
Vous pourrez déjeuner dans un restaurant local (à vos frais) avant de visiter l'ashram Sivananda, le temple Niketan de Parme, Gita Bhavan, l'ashram Swarg, l'ashram Ma Anandamayee, l'ashram Sapt Rishi et l'ashram des Beatles. Le soir au coucher du soleil, vous visiterez Ganga Aarti à Haridwar. Des milliers de sectes visitent les ghats du Ganga à Har ki Pauri à Haridwar pour assister aux aarti qui ont commencé il y a plusieurs décennies. La tradition se poursuit sans relâche et est un spectacle à voir. Elle se déroule de l'autre côté des rives où vous verrez les prêtres allumer les lampes dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, accompagnés de chants à la louange de Mère Ganga. Une fois le rituel terminé, les dévots lèveront leurs mains sur la flamme et lèveront leurs paumes sur leur front afin d'obtenir la purification et la bénédiction de la Déesse. Enfin, retournez à New Delhi et passez à votre hôtel vers 21h.

We had an unforgettable day trip from Delhi to Haridwar and Rishikesh. The journey was long, but absolutely worth it! Our guide Ajay was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained the history, culture, temples, and spiritual importance of both cities beautifully. The highlight of the tour was experiencing the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri — it was truly magical and deeply moving. Our driver Ravi was punctual, professional, and drove safely throughout the journey. Everything was well organized from pickup to drop-off. A wonderful experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting India!

Ajay was a great tour guide. He took us to some beautiful places including a beach with sparkling sand! It’s also not every day you’re on a beach and there’s a cow laying in the sand soaking up the sun.

I took part in a fantastic tour in Haridwar and Rishikesh, the sacred sites of the Ganges River, which had a particularly positive effect on me. This tour is wonderful and the organization was perfect. We had a little glitch at first, but the organizer did well to meet our request. The day is long, but rich in beautiful scenery and moments.

An interesting tour, but a long drive (4 hours each way from/back to Delhi). Visited the various Ghats and Ashrams which were included on the tour, and also a Hindu temple (Glass Temple) which was unlike any other I have visited. I felt the tour could have been shortened as there was quite a time gap between the earlier visits and the start of the evening Aarti ceremony. Pickup arrangements were all fine and good driver and guide.

An excellent one day journey , either in culture or in religion. The driver is very good 👍. The guide was good as well except a little in a hurry .
