Temples d'Abou Simbel construits sous le règne du grand pharaon Ramsès II, au 13ème siècle avant JC, ces deux vastes temples taillés dans la roche sont dédiés à Ramsès II et à son épouse, Néfertari. Ils sont considérés comme des chefs-d'œuvre architecturaux du Nouvel Empire égyptien. Ainsi, lorsque le haut barrage d'Assouan a été construit pour la première fois, inondant leur emplacement d'origine, le gouvernement égyptien et l'UNESCO ont travaillé ensemble pour sauver les deux temples des inondations. Votre guide vous accompagnera jusqu'au Grand Temple, construit en l'honneur de Ramsès II et dédié à lui et à quatre autres dieux, ainsi qu'au plus petit temple dédié à sa femme Néfertari, également connu sous le nom de Temple d'Hathor. As the trip is quite long and the road is sometimes damaged and if possible return in the day because at night there are many trucks and visibility is really poor
