Tour guide Maii was kind , caring , knowledgable , helpful, easy to understand. I liked that all items were authentic and that you were able to learn some history and modern day Eygpt.

Maii is PHENOMENAL! My mom and I went to Egypt for her birthday. We wanted to shop at the market, and didn't know if that was part of the tour but Maii was flexible and customized the tour to what we wanted to do. We had a blast. I honestly wished I knew she did multi day tours I would have booked her for the entire week! (She does offer these by the way.) We loved our Henna, and the tea place was cool (this is not included in the tour- so be prepared to pay for it.) We had a blast. Definitely recommend. She was knowledgeable and helped us negotiate at all shops which made the experience so much better.

Where do I even begin?! This tour company is REMARKABLE! Maro was so patient with me as I asked a ton of questions. His knowledge gave me comfort in each decision I made for me and my family. Maii, our actual tour guide gave us beyond outstanding service. Maii’s knowledge of this country is beyond the basic “tourist” attraction. She gave exceptional explanations as a bonus, AND she negotiated each and every purchase that we made. If you’re looking for authenticity in a tour guide and want to feel welcomed from the moment you meet, Live Egypt should definitely be your choice.

Excellent. We always felt protected and accompanied to the best sites, the information always timely and the times chosen with good judgment, which allowed us to enjoy the best opportunities. Of course, the sellers always encourage the customer in the purchase, but the guides give previously all the necessary information and we never felt pressured to buy, despite being led to the places of purchase and we were duly informed of the preventive behaviors to have.

Our day with Maii was informative and fun. Shopping tour was well organized. Bought some beautiful items! Saw so much of Cairo and Sakkara as we drove place to place to shop. Snacks included. A very fun day.

Whilst in Cairo I had completely forgotten that I had booked a shopping tour with Maii for the 4 of us. Thankfully, we were in our hotel room when she called us. Prior, we were thinking of what we could do that day before our scheduled tour with our tour company began. We can't tell you what at wonderful and great day we had! Maii was patient in waiting for us to come down to the lobby and then she began our adventure. Maii is a great communicator and SO nice. She asked us if there was anthing specific that we wanted to see. We went to a perfume factory in which we had no intentions of buying anything but ended up buying 6 bottles of perfume oils at a great price. Then we proceeded to a carpet factory - also in which we had no intentions of buying anything but ended up buying a carpet at such a reduced discount because Maii bargained with them for us! Maii then took us to a place to eat - a traditional Egyptian eatery Abou Tarek....what a treat!! At the end, Maii left us with such a wonderful memory that we will always treasure and remember on our visit to Cairo! When we grouped with the travel group (37 people) we told them of our tour with Maii. We highly recommend this to anyone! Thank you so much Maii!

Simply by far the best guide & tour!! Maii was so easy to understand. She is a tertiary qualified Egyptologist & Journalist. Highly flexible to our wants , doesn’t talk excessively like some guides that just want you to listen to them, and adjusted this private tour to our wants & timings. She was so friendly & so at ease with us. Shops she takes you to have no apparent ‘commission based sales to the tour guide’. It was such a wonderful tour to unique Cairo attractions & shops. We don't do tours usually but I would do any tour with Mia or if you want to go shopping, dining or anything. She was so pleasant, a sense of humor with a beautiful smile and made us so comfortable. Cold bottled water was available every time we came back to the car and the car was very comfortable with good A/C! Plus she knew her way around and of course knew a great deal about Egypt and while she could negotiate with the locals, she was also very appreciative of them. We actually enjoyed our time with her like a friend you would spend time with experiencing new adventures.

A group of 4 of us were visiting Cairo and wanted to experience the hustle and bustle of the bazaars as well as find some shops of real quality and this trip did not disappoint. We felt a lot more comfortable with Mai showing us around the main bazaar in Cairo avoiding hassle from anyone. We loved Drinking tea in one of the oldest tea houses in Cairo and really got a feel for the city. Mai was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Egyptian history. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
