Our tour guide was Dana from DTours, who we were lucky enough to have 2 days in a row for separate tours. The tour was just us, so we got individual attention, and the car was comfortable. Dana was fantastic, giving us lots of information as we drove through town and at each place we visited. She even took us to places in Atlanta that weren't on the itinerary since our 2 tours overlapped a little. It was so interesting, and she's so proud of her hometown. Atlanta is such an interesting city with so much history. I'm a huge fan of Civil War history since I think it's the most interesting war. There was much about the Civil Rights movement that we didn't know since we're from Wyoming. I highly recommend this tour and Dana from DTours as a tour guide.
Can add and change as you go. Lots of Atlanta history about Civil Rights as well as famous people in Atlanta.
The tour was beyond our expectations. Dan gave us the tour himself. We got a great taste of the different neighborhoods and culture of the city. We highly recommend this tour!
The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Julio grew up in Atlanta and that made it even more personable and fun. He knew history, art, the city..we really enjoyed our time. Three hours was not enough but we learned a lot.
We agree that Julio's knowledge of Atlanta is vast and we are grateful for your review.
What a fantastic, informative tour! Dan was incredibly warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and easy going. He provided good insights into the places we visited, and kept a running commentary during the driving portions. My nephew and I had an amazing time and learned so much!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing DTours!
Chris did a great job driving and teaching. He’s great at his craft. He knows a lot about the Civil War, especially how it relates to Atlanta. If you like Marvel or movies in general, this tour will give a bonus.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your tour and your guide, Chris. Thank you for choosing DTours!
Our tour guide Chris was excellent. We both love history so he adjusted our experience to detailed (in-person) context so we were able to connect our knowledge to important historical site. Last year we did Williamsburg (we wanted to see where America began). This year we wanted to experience our historical tour during Black History Month. The Civil Rights movement was a paradigm shift for America and we found that Chris “conversationally” provided us a very informative (and rich in context) tour.
We're so glad you had a great experience with Chris. Thanks for taking the time to review and for choosing Dtours!
Going to ebenezer Baptist church and MLK park at the end but we spent the first 2 hours driving around looking at houses and hearing about all the movies that are filmed in Atlanta. There was nothing about civil war or civil rights struggles in this tour except for the MLK park
Thank you for your feedback. It comes a s a surprise and we will follow up with your guide. We wish you safe travels.
Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. He took us all around Atlanta and knew so much about each area we went to. He pointed out points of interest we would not have noticed otherwise but were definitely noteworthy, such as the multiple murals painted around the city. We got an overview of all of the neighborhoods in the city and got to hear what was special and unique about each. We went to the MLK state park, and that was a truly inspiring and humbling experience. He suggested food spots we should check out and we were not disappointed. There were no negatives about the tour. It enhanced our entire visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Thanks so much for the great and thoughtful review, we're grateful you chose Dtours!
Chris was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Being a history buff, it was interesting seeing the civil war gravesites and learning all that happened to Atlanta during that time. I also enjoyed seeing the MLK birthplace and Park
Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing DTours!
