Very fun time with Cabo Jesse and his son. Took us to some great spots and made everything enjoyable. Thx!!
Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a fun time with our Captain Cabo Jesse and his son. They truly enjoy showing our guests the best spots and making every tour memorable. We appreciate you choosing us and hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
Our captain was Veymar and he couldn’t have been nicer. My family really enjoyed the tour and we would, hands down, book another tour with him. There were two hiccups which left me with a bad taste in my mouth, however. First, I am not sure why, but almost nowhere in our booking, did it tell us the name of the actual tour company. This wouldn’t have been a problem except that the location instructions still only send you to a row of excursion companies and the annoying hawkers at the dock will BOMBARD you (I’m talking chase you down, interrupt you while you’re trying to duck next to a building to cast shade onto your phone to read what you've screenshotted, physically stand between you and your husband; I’ll post the screenshots I was working off of but without any wifi in the port (we were on a cruise so trying to rely on screenshots) I couldn’t figure out where to even tell people we were headed, who WERE attempting to help. It said to DM them on Facebook but it wasn’t until I read the url of the Facebook page that I could even figure out which of the 50+ cruise companies I was even looking for. Once I did see the name, I only found the correct spot because ONE other honest tour operator knew where we needed to check in. The actual directions should have read: once you approach the circle of standing surf boards in front of the dolphin center, turn behind you to your right and it’s the first gangway you see/the first dock once you turn right at that corner. Again, had they put Paradise Cabo Tours anywhere in the title, I could have received help sooner as well. The other frustrating issue was that the gear they loaned out sucked so bad I couldn’t participate. There was a 3rd party company at Pelican Cove who distributed the gear. First they gave my husband a child’s mask and snorkel. He flagged the guy down and asked for an adult mask and was given a different mask… that was also a pink child’s mask as well. He tried it and tried to make do, but couldn’t. Then the guy was nowhere to be found, I went up and made a third attempt at an adult mask and the one they gave didn’t tighten. I told my husband to take mine and I sat on the beach pretending I didn’t want to participate while my husband and kids snorkeled around and jumped off this super high rock. (Another tip: wear water shoes! They got their feet cut up a bit.) My daughter’s snorkel was the super cheap kind with no cover at the top either so she struggled a bit to keep water out. It was my son’s bday so I didn’t want to make a huge deal about how disappointed I was to not participate but it dampened the mood for me, who’d booked this months before after trying to do my due diligence. Had we each brought $25 snorkel gear from Amazon, it would have turned out differently for me, at least. I told Veymar and he was very apologetic when we got back on his boat and said he’s going to advise the owner that they should use the other (of two snorkel gear guys who were at that beach renting gear to the tour owners for their passengers… but frankly, the other guy’s gear looked just as iffy and neither seemed too interested in making sure people had properly fitting/working gear hence, why we gave up after three attempts at a working/adult snorkel mask). The REST of the tour was great. Veymar told us about all the locations he took us to: where movies were filmed, the oldest hotel in Cabo, etc. He was a great captain and my family had a lot of fun on the tour, as did I once I shook my disappointment with the snorkeling. Overall, I would recommend this tour if I had brought my own gear and could find it/name the company more easily. Thank you Veymar for making the tour special and for showing genuine concern when I shared my issue.
Thank you Laura for your review, but honestly all the directions of where the dock is are clearly mentioned online and on your ticket it says Cabo Paradise Tours which you can find us online easily with location links and address. We give the best instructions we can with location links, address, and reference surfboards. We can’t get any more clearer than that. No other clients have had a problem finding our dock, they actually tell us it’s easy to find. We are not in control of the vendors on the Marina and we understand the frustration having to deal with the vendors. Regarding the snorkeling equipment they are rented and controlled by the local beach workers when you are dropped off at the beach. Vaymar is a great Captain he is grateful and said thank you for the review.
We enjoyed the boat tour and snorkeling. The tour was very accommodating to our cruise ships changing arrival time. Would recommend.
Thank you, happy to hear you had a great time, and we are here at your service whenever you're back in Cabo.
You can’t see much thru the glass bottom but luckily we all were able to snorkel and saw a lot of beautiful fish by Pelican Rock. We had our fill of it within an hour, tho - the area is not that big and it was busy! Our captain got a call from a friend that there were humpbacks out past the Arch so we motored out for about 30 minutes and finally found them! A mother and baby! We were so close and yet kept a respectful distance. Awesome tour!!!

Great experience. Started a little late, but they were very accommodating as I booked last minute. Tour guide Vaymar was great. Great conversationalist and humorist. We decided to cut the trip a little short as many of the couples we were with don’t do well in the water, but it was a great trip nonetheless.
Thank you Eduardo for your review and for booking with Cabo Paradise Tours. It was nice having you on board with us, we really appreciate you, and are happy to hear you had a great experience with Captain Vaymar. This was a great trip. Vamar was our captain and guide. He was excellent, professional, and tailored the trip to our liking and accommodated the fact we had toddlers with us. He also took us whale watching, and waited for us a bit longer than scheduled while snorkeling. I highly recommend this trip.
Thank you Ahmad for your review and for booking with us. We are happy to hear you had a great time with Captain Vamar. He´s a great guide who is passionate about his job, fun, friendly and knowledgeable. We are at your service anytime you come back to Cabo for tours and activities! Kind Regards, Leo
I booked 2 activities + airport transport with Leo. He was AWESOME. Best prices and service, hands down. I’m rather chatty and he answered all my questions promptly on Whatsapp. I chose Leo based on his reviews and price. Also, I wanted to only deal with one contact during our week-long vacation, rather than wrangling between multiple companies. VERY glad we went this route. Leo was VERY helpful getting in touch with drivers, etc. He made sure everything went smoothly and happened on time. The 5 stars is for Leo, who books the tour for you through another company. The cons below are *only* for the snokeling tour, not the service Paradise Tours provided. If the “Cons” turn you off this tour, Leo has private snorkeling options on his website (when I last checked). This tour was the most touristy thing we did in Cabo. It was a lot of fun! HOWEVER, If you have a large group, I HIGHLY recommend booking a private tour. (We were only 2 and didn’t have the option.) There were A LOT of people on board, including kids. It definitely had a spring-break vibe rather than relaxing or informative. It was fine for us since it was the only activity we did like this and our hotel was very chill. PRO-TIPS: - Find CPT website + book directly for better prices - CHOOSE GROUP 2 if you have even basic swimming skills. Trust me. Group 1 just wades behind the boat for like 30 min. Everyone else swims in a group (and life vests) to the reef. Even if you couldn’t swim, the life vest would keep you afloat. - Suntan lotion - Bring cash for tips PROS: - Good amount of time in water - Experienced instructors - Instructors all wore face masks - MOST guests wore face masks - Equipment included(everything was sanitized between uses) - Unlimited drinks/food - Surprisingly long trip! (Perfect amount of time IMO) CONS: - Very full tour - Food was just OK - Music REALLY loud on upper deck - Towels not provided (though you don’t really need them) - Transport not provided You cannot drink before the snorkel for obvious safety reasons. This means about 1.5hrs of sobriety on the way to the reef. But you can buy a drink in the waiting area beforehand. The area outside the tour is VERY touristy. If you walk around at all you’ll be approached every couple steps by people selling...everything lol. Great time to pickup last minute souvenirs. There’s also a mall nearby with AIR CON!! If I had to do it a second time, I’d book a private tour. However, for our first time it was perfect. (We had no prior snorkeling experience and it was our first time anywhere in Mexico). You can get an Uber back to your hotel, but be warned there is a huge contention between the taxis and Uber. So be aware and be careful!
