Thanks, Adam Tour. The tour was amazing and exceptional. The tour guide, Yerkin, is a pro. I gained insight into the history of Almaty Kazakhstan. The views are stunning. It's worth a visit when you are going to Almaty.
I had a great to tour with Adam. Very professional and friendly. He will take care of you like a friend. He is very polite and humble. He has a very good knowledge on local history and places. Also he has very commendable English speaking skill. Will recommend to my contacts to book this tour again.
Nice person Good guide, He has shown everything personally And explained to us, he took personal care, took to every place.
Visitors to Almaty must head for these spots - the town is surrounded by picturesque mountains and within a hour one is driving through them. Unfortunately the weather was warmer than usual so the skating rink at Medeu was closed . The glacier at Shymbulak was melting - inspite of that the cable ride was fun and the air was colder as we went higher and the views were awesome. With A 5000 KZT ticket you can go to all 3 levels by cable car. U can have lunch at one of the restaurants at the 2nd level. The fresh juices at Assorti were delicious and so was the grilled chicken and aubergine salad . The ascension cathedral was beautiful and the 28 park a great place to walk about . But do make sure u haven’t tired yourself out so that you can enjoy it at leisure. By the time we got here we were too tired to walk around the whole big park. Kok tobe was a fun theme park with fantastic views of the city. U can take the cable car from Dostyk avenue or drive right to the top. Tip- Make it a point to go before sunset so that you can enjoy an ice cream or a cup of tea before getting awestruck at the most spectacular sunset ever! Almaty at night looks livelier than ever.
Though there was a bit of a delay in the pick up due to some communication gap, our wonderful guide, Yerkin, more than made up for it with his considerate, friendly manner and with his store of information about everything! He gave us enough time to view everything without rushing, he escorted us 6 ladies to each point , guided us to the best eating places and even went out of the way to help us find a phone charger. The car was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the guided tours of all the places on the itinerary. Only wish the weather had been a bit cooler! Thankfully it was much cooler after the cable car ride to shymbulak. Kok tobe was fun and the sunset there was spectacular and not to be missed..
Lovely place to visit. Lots of nice walks as well as skiing and skating. Great outdoor ice rink with great skates for hire at a reasonable price. It is a truly beautiful location just outside Almaty and accessable on the number 12 bus. Just make sure the driver gives you a ticket when you pay as there are inspectors and some drivers don't give tickets to visitors. Demand one if you get the bus-you have been warned..... Almaty is a great city to visit full if nice people....Thanks Kazakhstan. :-)
