Description
Notre visite peut commencer par vous prendre à l'aéroport et vous transférer à votre hôtel ou l'inverse en vous prenant à votre hôtel et vous transférer à l'aéroport à la fin de la visite. Veuillez noter que les transferts à l'aéroport, l'arrivée ou le départ doivent avoir lieu le jour même de la visite. Comme il s'agit d'une visite privée, vous pouvez choisir l'heure de départ et personnaliser les visites à votre confort. Si vous devez terminer la visite avant, il n'y a pas de problème, il n'y a pas de précipitation si vous voulez ou avez besoin de faire les visites lentement. Notre transport privé nous mènera à Yanahuara puis nous retournerons au centre d'Arequipa qui est un patrimoine culturel mondial, et nous ferons une visite à pied, explorant et découvrant le passé colonial d'Arequipa et sa culture actuelle. Arequipa est une ville avec beaucoup d'histoire, de tradition, de diversité naturelle et culturelle. Bienvenue aux voyageurs!

Vous pourrez visiter la place et le point de vue de ce quartier traditionnel, d'où vous pourrez voir les volcans qui entourent la ville. Nous observerons également l'église coloniale construite avec de la pierre volcanique et le guide vous expliquera pourquoi ce quartier est considéré comme l'un des plus romantiques d'Arequipa.
Mundo Alpaca Arequipa représente une grande contribution culturelle et touristique à la ville blanche -capitale mondiale de l'alpaga- qui cherche à exposer et à apporter au monde notre richesse culturelle millénaire, permettant à ses visiteurs d'apprécier et de "vivre" l'expérience de l'alpaga, en interagissant directement avec ces animaux dans un magnifique environnement naturel. De plus, ils pourront voir en direct la technique ancestrale de classement manuel de la fibre, ainsi que l'exposition de l'extraordinaire procédé traditionnel du métier à tisser à dos. Nous observerons, toucherons et en apprendrons également davantage sur la fibre de vigogne, considérée comme la plus fine au monde.
Probablement l'église avec la plus grande expression artistique religieuse de la ville, vous y trouverez des façades de style baroque métis, de beaux autels décorés de feuilles d'or et des peintures coloniales.
Ce marché est considéré comme un site du patrimoine culturel de la nation, car il ne s'agit pas simplement d'un centre d'approvisionnement de base, mais fait partie du développement culturel d'Arequipa et est un exemple clair de la culture vivante et du mouvement économique contemporain de la ville. Dans ce marché, vous pouvez trouver toutes sortes de produits typiques d'Arequipa et d'autres régions du Pérou, ici il y a une grande diversité de fruits, de pommes de terre et de produits naturels, ainsi que des plantes médicinales très populaires dans la culture locale.
C'est l'un des monuments historiques les plus importants d'Arequipa, datant de 1677 et a une belle architecture coloniale, remarquable pour ses belles colonnes avec des détails en haut-relief.
Nous entrons dans la bibliothèque régionale Mario Vargas LLosa (prix Nobel de littérature), un bâtiment d’architecture républicaine et de culture vivante
Lieu de fondation de la ville située dans le centre historique d'Arequipa, qui est considéré comme un site du patrimoine culturel du monde. La Plaza de armas est entourée par la cathédrale et les portails de pierre qui nous montrent le passage de la colonie à l'époque républicaine. Nous monterons jusqu'au belvédère des portails d'où nous observerons la place entourée des impressionnants volcans Misti, Chachani et Pichu Pichu.
Par San Francisco Street, nous accéderons à la place du même nom, qui est la deuxième plus importante du centre historique (après la Plaza de Armas) à la fois pour sa beauté et sa pertinence historique.
Nous nous promènerons dans les plus anciennes rues de la ville situées dans le quartier traditionnel de San Lázaro, actuellement une zone de loisirs et de repos pour les touristes nationaux et étrangers.

We had a fantastic time with Julio. He picked us up promptly from our hotel and we started by going to 2 beautiful viewpoints. He then took us to Mundo Alpaca, followed by a city tour ending in the Santa Catalina monastery. Throughout the day, Julio gave us great insights and information about everything we were seeing and he also took some great photos of us. We feel that this tour gives you a great overview of Arequipa and it's very well organized and executed. Highly recommended.

I can't imagine a better way to get to know a city with its many sights than with a personal guide. Our guide Julio was perfect in every respect. Immediately after picking us up from the airport, he took us to viewpoints of the city and the surrounding area on the drive towards the city center. His English was excellent and communication and conversation were guaranteed. The guided tour on foot through the city center with its various tourist destinations and his competent knowledge of all the places visited was impressive. I went with this tour because of the strong reviews and after having done it with a friend, I can honestly say it's even better than I expected. JULIO is amazing, has a rich knowledge of history and culture of the city and country, and is so thoughtful in providing really interesting info because he understands the people he is guiding. This is one of the best guides I've experienced and highly recommend Julio.

This was by far the best tour I think I will ever experience! Julio is so knowledgeable not only about Arequipa, but about EVERYTHING Peruvian history and politics and architecture and art and so much more! My flight arrived to Arequipa at 8:30 am and Julio picked me up from the airport and showed me beautiful viewpoints from which I could see the three tall mountains and the valley. Then, I got to feed and pet alpacas and llamas! I also learned about vicuñas and the different wool types and saw how they process the wool. I learned about the pre- and post-colonial history of the area, and Julio explained how the Spanish incorporated Incan mythologies and lore into the carvings of the various cathedrals. The architecture was so beautiful! We explored the Plaza de Armas and then he took me to the Santa Catalina Monastery. What a gorgeous monastery! The tour guide there, Celia, took me on an hour-long tour of the life of the nuns within the walls of the monastery. Celia was so full of wonderful information and answered all the questions I had even before I could ask them! :) It’s hard to pick a favorite part to this incredible day! We ended on a highlight - the Museo Santuarios Andinos. There, Julio described the Incan culture and rituals, and I got to see the beautifully preserved frozen Inca girl “Juanita”. I learned all about the Incan lifestyle - foods, clothing, textiles, rituals, art, metallurgy - that scientists gleaned from studying her remains. This was an amazing tour all around Arequipa! Julio is the best guide and is so full of information and is so passionate about it and is so easy to talk to and learn from! This tour was nearly 9 hours long and every single minute of it was incredible - easily the best tour I will ever have in my life. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Thank you, Julio! :)

From the start of planning via email Alejandra and Julio made our visit to Arequipa sensational. Julio met us at the airport and we were able to visit the Sillar Route, Yanahuara and a delightful restaurant. We loved the hotel recommendation and we were so happy that we booked a second day to do a city tour including the Monasterio de Santa Catalina and Plaza de Armas. Arequipa is a lovely city. It was made immeasurably more enjoyable because we had Julio's local expertise and superb driving skills to show us around. After spending a couple days in Lima, Arequipa finally provided me with what felt like a real Peruvian experience. The food there was also what we were looking for and much better than food in Lima. Julio was a stellar guide with a big heart and a very deep knowledge of his history. The private aspect of the tour also really helped elevate the experience. I highly recommend this tour, and especially so if Julio is your guide!

I had a really great experience on my private walking tour of Arequipa with Julio. He took me to the most important and interesting places in the city and is extremely knowledgeable. His passion for the town was contagious. Also we had wonderful conversations more generally about life in Peru and I really felt I got a different insight than I could have possibly gotten on my own.
