Explorez trois villes majeures du monde ionien antique lors de cette excursion guidée d'une journée au départ d'Izmir. Priène, Milet et Didymes vous dévoilent l'histoire classique à travers leurs villes planifiées, leur vie intellectuelle, leurs temples monumentaux et leurs traditions religieuses ancestrales. Visitez Priène, cité perchée sur une colline, célèbre pour son plan en damier, son temple d'Athéna, ses ruines préservées et ses vastes panoramas. Poursuivez votre visite par Milet, jadis port important et centre intellectuel, où l'amphithéâtre, le portique ionique et les vestiges urbains témoignent de son rôle prépondérant dans le commerce, la philosophie, l'architecture et l'urbanisme. La dernière étape est Didymes, qui abrite le monumental temple d'Apollon, un important centre oraculaire réputé pour ses colonnes massives et sa tête de Méduse. We gave the crowds at Ephesus a miss and spent the day with a master story teller exploring the cities of Priene, Miletus and the marvellous temple at Didyma. Alperen our guide made the day seem effortless starting with a full conquest and reconquest history of the region then revealing at each stop wonderful hidden gems. All in perfect english (except when translating the ancient Greek!). Mustapha our driver was a real pro too. Way beyond my already high expectations.

The Pryene, Miletus and Didyma tour was phenomenal. The experience was just as good if not better than Ephesus and much quieter. Our tour guide Elcin was so knowledgeable and the lunch was wonderful.

Alperen Ugur was a terrific guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, and polite. The sites were all fascinating. We were practically the only ones there so had no problem taking pictures without other tourists in the shots. Walking around is harder since there aren’t many groomed paths to use. But all of that is worth it to see these places.
