Absolutely incredible time. We've done plenty of wine tours around the world but this was a special experience. Stéphane got us into some of the best wineries and we were able to experience their best wines. We were treated like VIPs everywhere we went. This is a must do when I'm Mendoza to get a different perspective on the wines. Being a sommelier helped us learn as well. He even set us up at a fabulous restaurant back in town afterwards for a romantic dinner.
Dear Greg, Thank you so much for this amazing review. Receiving such words from travelers who have explored wine regions around the world truly means a lot to us. Mendoza has something very special to offer, and I’m very happy you could experience not only great wines, but also the people, hospitality and atmosphere behind them. One of my main goals is precisely to go beyond a standard wine tour and create something more personal, educational and memorable, adapting the day to each guest and sharing a deeper perspective on Argentine wine culture. It was a real pleasure spending the day with you both, and I’m glad the dinner recommendation helped make the evening just as special as the wineries. Thank you again for your trust and your enthusiasm. Warm regards, Stéphane
Great experience. All the logistics were handled very well. Our driver was helpful and pleasant and maintained the schedule well. We enjoyed both wineries. The tours were interesting and the tastings quite generous. Lunch at the Hornero Restaurant was fantastic. I wish we lived closer so we could visit again.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the day, the wineries and the lunch at Honero. I’ll also pass your words along to your driver and guide, it will mean a lot to him. We truly hope to welcome you again in Mendoza in the near future. Warm regards, Stéphane
Delicious the wineries we know: Piedra Negra, Atamisque and lunch at Hornero Restaurant. We did not know the Clos Del Los Siete winemaker, as indicated in the script, but Atamisque was sensational. Argentine lunch very well done. I always think that the restaurants can provide a service to want, as a tourist, but it was excellent!
We had the most incredible time in Mendoza over our Christmas holiday, and so much of that experience was thanks to our exceptional guide, Stéphane. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel less like tourists and more like family. His knowledge of Mendoza’s wine, food, and history is truly impressive, and he shared it in a way that was engaging, thoughtful, and never overwhelming. Stéphane went above and beyond when our original Christmas Eve dinner reservation unexpectedly fell through—he somehow managed to secure us an unforgettable Michelin-starred dining experience, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. That level of care and dedication speaks volumes about the kind of guide he is. If you’re planning a trip to Mendoza, I cannot recommend Stéphane highly enough. His passion for the region, combined with his warmth and attention to detail, elevates the entire experience and makes the trip truly special.
Dear Saddie, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and generous review. It truly means a lot to me. Spending several days with your family in the vineyards of Mendoza was an absolute pleasure. From the very first moment, your curiosity, kindness and openness made the experience especially meaningful, and it was a joy to share the region, its wines, its food and its stories with you. I’m very glad that those days (and particularly the unexpected Christmas Eve dinner) became such special memories for you. Moments like these are exactly why I do this work, and I’m grateful for the trust you placed in me throughout your stay. Thank you again for your words, your energy and your warmth. I hope Mendoza will always hold a special place in your memories, and I truly hope our paths cross again someday, here or elsewhere. Warmest regards, Stéphane
Prestigious wineries of Uco, Private luxury tour for USD700 (2 persons) was NOT luxury 1. The transportation was arranged with used SMALL regular car - Toyota corolla 2. On the wineries all tours and tasting were with group, NOT private 3. The food in the restaurant was nothing special and some dishes was not quality and delicious 4. Our pick-up point was Puesto del Indio Lodge (outside of Mendoza, but not so far). When I had booked the tour the system had confirm me that pick-up point. But operator send us the message, that we can confirm that pickup point if we pay USD190 extra. The operator told us the lodge is located far from city and road conditions requires to use high-clearance vehicles (4x2 or 4x4) to access the property safely. It was NOT TRUE. Road was perfect. And the taxi cost from lodge to city was USD20 ONLY (one side). The operator was cheating on the condition of the road.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We will respond point by point, as several statements in this review are inaccurate or misleading. Regarding the pickup location: it is correct that the access road to Puesto del Indio Lodge is now asphalted. This is a recent change, and until very recently the access did require high-clearance vehicles. That said, once the client decided to change the meeting point to Park Hyatt Mendoza, this matter was closed. No extra fee was charged, despite what is claimed here, and we waited 15 minutes past the scheduled pickup time due to the client’s delay. Regarding transportation: the vehicle used was a Toyota Corolla fully licensed for tourism, clean, air-conditioned and perfectly standard for private wine tours in Mendoza. This is not Moscow or Paris; Mendoza is a wine region with long distances, and this type of vehicle is both common and appropriate. Confusing “luxury” with oversized vehicles does not reflect local realities. Regarding winery visits: at no point are private winery tours guaranteed or advertised on Viator, especially on Sunday, December 28, peak high season, when wineries operate tastings in small groups. This is clearly stated in the tour description and depends entirely on winery availability, not the operator’s will. Regarding lunch: the meal took place at a well-known, reputable winery restaurant, highly rated and appreciated by the vast majority of our guests. Taste is subjective, but presenting this as an objective failure of service is unfair. Finally, it is important to say that the client arrived on the tour already in a negative and confrontational mindset, and unfortunately, no service can fully satisfy guests who are determined to find fault at every step. We fully accept our responsibility for the updated road condition information, but beyond that, the service delivered was exactly what was sold and paid for. We stand by the quality, transparency and consistency of our tours. We understand that not every experience suits every traveler, and that is perfectly fine. Future guests are encouraged to read both reviews and operators’ responses to form their own informed opinion. Stéphane RAMPON
Perfect day touring wineries and an amazing lunch. Martin was our guide and he was fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommend!
Hi Molly, thank you very much for this review! Be sure I will forward to our guide. We hope to see you back in Mendoza for more adventures!
We did this tour with Nadia as our guide and Fabio as our driver. We had a great time. They even stopped along the way for us to experience breakfast of the street. DiamAndes is the best winery and Nati there was just amazing. We could have just spent more time there and would have been happy. Make sure you have a hearty breakfast before the tour as it's a lot of wine and lunch is late, after 2pm. Definitely reccomend doing this tour.
It was a fantastic experience! Our tour guide Ana was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The tours and tastings were well prepared, making for a memorable trip.
Almondina and Norma took wonderful care of us, and the wineries we visited were absolutely striking and memorable. Best part was it was just the two of us for the first two. The last one was more of a tour bus place, so we just pretended we didn’t speak English.
Nice experience, the food really pleased me, the views, the wines all very good and the attention of the guide Mati was exceptional.
