I have done many wine/vineyard tours, this was the best overall experience I have had. The updated or new museum, the tastings, the cellar experience were all fantastic. Highly recommend!!
A visit to Concha y Toro is worthwhile, not only because it is the most well-known winemaker in Chile, but especially because of everything it represents for the history and culture of wine in Chile. We went with our little children and the experience was excellent for the whole family. The famous legend of the Casillero del Diablo especially drew their attention, making the tour even more engaging. In addition, the sensory activity was very interesting and well conducted, adding a lot to the experience. As a point of attention, we had a little luck with the guide from the tasting part of Concha y Toro itself. He was Brazilian, but he seemed to be on a bad day, unfriendly, with zero empathy and clearly tired or dismotivated. The presentation of the wines was quite objective and superficial, almost “complying table”, bringing little content or depth on the labels. It is worth noting that there was also a participant in the class that bothered a bit with irrelevant questions, which may have influenced the climate. On the other hand, in the sensory stage, we were led by an excellent Chilean guide: very didactic, participatory and engaging, which made all the difference in the experience. Overall, I highly recommend the tour only so that you are lucky to catch a more lively and willing guide, as this directly impacts the quality of the tour.
The winery is very beautiful, with a great history and excellent wines. We experienced the Marques de Casa Concha wine pairing with cheeses. All the wines and all the cheeses were delicious; the sommelier Jairo was very friendly and conducted the pairing flawlessly. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was perfect. I ordered an Almaviva which paired wonderfully with the lamb. The vineyard is very beautiful, with a very nice history and great wines. We did the Marques de Casa Concha experience with the harmonization with cheeses. All the wines and all the cheeses were delicious; sommelier Jairo was very friendly and led the harmonization impeccably. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was perfect. I ordered an Almaviva that matched wonderfully well with the lamb.
Excellent experience. Great wines. Interesting sensory evaluation. Beautiful and unforgettable oasis. I recommend.
Beautiful gardens, a good, interactive and technological experience, but disappointing tasting, made standing, in the heat, guide in a hurry to finish. Uncomfortable up. Worth without much expectation..
The guide was not a person who generates a rich experience and is monotonous, along with it you have expectations that you will taste a different wine than those sold in supermarkets, it is not a wow experience.. as it is in other vineyards. Mario Antinao, was not affable and did not generate connection with the group and even with bad comments. The place beautiful, beautiful gardens, but the vineyards you will see are exhibition. Made for the visit.
We opted for the booked direct with Concha y Toro site, offering an extra reasonable charged pick up and drop off at our city hotel.(took under hour to get there) . All worked perfectly. I’d read several negative reviews from folks who’d done a group bus bundle C&T tour, time consuming, unreliable etc. We did the 165 minute tour with icon and premium wines. Generous enough tastes-not thimble fulls;-) The sensory experience was amazing and as delightful to wine enthusiasts like me as well as others. The time flew by. The last wine we tried was the best I have ever tasted, which added to the positive experience. Well done C&T!
The visit to Concha y Toro fue will certainly be one of the best memories of the trip. We had the opportunity to learn about the history of the vineyard, taste and learn about the types of wines. The tasting with the sommelier was very interesting and we had time to enjoy it. Fully recommended.
Luis took us to Concha y Toro to make the tour. The vineyard is sensational and the super nice tour with explanations from the vineyard guide.
Excellent experience in this tour of this wine field, and enlivened by Sebastian actor with the character of Isidro , very pleasant and very well personalized, we took it with dinner that was delicious
