Preah Khan signifie (Royal Sword) est un temple à Angkor, au Cambodge, construit au 12ème siècle pour le roi Jayavarman VII pour honorer son père. Il est situé au nord-est d'Angkor Thom et juste à l'ouest du baray Jayatataka, auquel il était associé. C'était le centre d'une organisation importante, avec près de 100 000 fonctionnaires et serviteurs. Le temple est de conception plate, avec un plan de base de galeries rectangulaires successives autour d'un sanctuaire bouddhiste compliqué par des temples satellites hindous et de nombreux ajouts ultérieurs. Comme le Ta Prohm à proximité, Preah Khan a été laissé en grande partie non restauré, avec de nombreux arbres et autres végétaux poussant parmi les ruines.
Ta Prohm (ancêtre de Brahma) est le nom moderne du temple d'Angkor, dans la province de Siem Reap, au Cambodge, construit dans le style Bayon en grande partie à la fin du 12ème et au début du 13ème siècle et appelé à l'origine Rajavihara (monastère royal). Situé à environ un kilomètre à l'est d'Angkor Thom et sur le bord sud du Baray oriental, il a été fondé par le roi khmer Jayavarman VII, en tant que monastère bouddhiste Mahayana et université. Contrairement à la plupart des temples angkoriens, Ta Prohm est à peu près dans le même état dans lequel il a été trouvé: la combinaison photogénique et atmosphérique des arbres poussant hors des ruines et des environs de la jungle en a fait l'un des temples les plus populaires d'Angkor auprès des visiteurs. L’UNESCO a inscrit Ta Prohm sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial en 1992. Aujourd’hui, c’est l’un des complexes les plus visités de la région d’Angkor au Cambodge. La conservation et la restauration de Ta Prohm est un projet de partenariat de l'Archaeological Survey of India et de l'APSARA.
Le Bayon (Prasad Bayon) est un temple khmer richement décoré à Angkor au Cambodge. Construit à la fin du 12ème ou au début du 13ème siècle en tant que temple d'État du roi bouddhiste Mahayana Jayavarman VII, le Bayon se trouve au centre de la capitale de Jayavarman, Angkor Thom, après la mort de Jayavarman, il a été modifié et augmenté par les rois bouddhistes Theravada plus tard dans conformément à leurs propres préférences religieuses. Le trait le plus distinctif du Bayon est la multitude de visages de pierre sereins et souriants sur les nombreuses tours qui dépassent de la terrasse supérieure et se regroupent autour de son sommet central. Le temple a deux ensembles de bas-reliefs, qui présentent une combinaison de scènes mythologiques, historiques et mondaines. Le principal organe du conservatoire, l'équipe du gouvernement japonais pour la sauvegarde d'Angkor (la JSA) a décrit le temple comme «l'expression la plus frappante du style baroque» de l'architecture khmère, en contraste avec le style classique d'Angkor Wat.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our driver Panha in Siem Reap and couldn’t recommend him highly enough. From the very beginning, he was extremely punctual, picking us up right on time from the airport and driving us comfortably to our hotel. The next day, he took us to Angkor Wat and surrounding temples, always allowing us plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. He then went above and beyond by taking my parents on a longer trip to the 1000 Shiva Lingas and Kulen Waterfall. The journey was smooth and safe, even on more challenging roads, and his calm, professional driving gave us complete peace of mind. Throughout our tours, he was incredibly thoughtful — he provided cold bottled water each day and even offered an umbrella to protect us from the strong sun while walking around the temples, which was very much appreciated. Finally, he ensured a timely and stress-free transfer back to the airport. His car was clean and comfortable, and his friendly, caring attitude made the entire experience even better. If you’re looking for a reliable, punctual, and genuinely considerate driver in Siem Reap, we highly recommend him. He truly helped make our trip memorable!

When Panha met us at the airport we quickly realized he was our guy for the trip. We had never been to Cambodia and Panha made us feel right at home. He was flexible with our schedule and even helped us from the airport, all with a smile on his face. We asked for certain temples at Angkor Wat and he was very willing to take us to whichever ones we wanted. These temples are amazing and even better with a knowledgeable guide. We learned about Cambodian history and current events and even got food recommendations! The best time to go is for sunrise.... so it is an EARLY morning (don't stay out too late on Pub Street!), but it is so worth it. Our hotel packed us breakfast to have and we enjoyed it in an Air-conditioned spacious van that was just for the two of us. I highly recommend Angkor Cab and this tour that gets you to some of the coolest temples around - including the "Tomb Raider" temple where the trees are growing right through and on top of the structures! Thanks again for an awesome time :) **Make sure you have your knees and shoulders covered when entering the temples - men and women- no low necklines either** And bring some small cash for water souvenirs etc in Angkor*

If you want a boring tour get on a bus. If you want a tour that you get to see the real Cambodia, go with these folks. They make you feel very safe, secure, care about your experience, really know the insides and outs of Cambodia. And we had a great time and a lot of fun.

I have nothing but praise for the fantastic tour that our guide took us on. Starting with our early morning trip to see the sunrise over Angkor Wat then on to several temples in the area including Ta Prohm and Preah Khan.We were treated to a great history lesson on the area. We only wish we could have stayed longer in Krong Siem Reap and visited more of the area and its historical attractions with our guide and driver Panha. We will plan to go back in the near future.
