Our Guide Atalan was extremely knowlegable and friendly. He Has a wealth of information and was generally interested and self tough about many of the sights. We had a lovely lunch and what I believe was a restaurant picked out buy the tour company and not the guide. I would have given this 5 stars but after lunch we were handed off to a guy and had a rug demo and a sales push to buy a rugs.
Baris was an amazing guide—he was so knowledgeable and made our trip both intellectual and fun. Our visit to Turkey would not have been the same without him! Would highly recommend the private tour of Ephesus with a delicious lunch.
Thank you so much, this is very kind of you. Hope to see you again.
The arrangements with Ephesus Port Tours were easy and worked well. The car transport and the driver they provided were excellent but the best part was our guide Ceyda who was first class. She took care of us throughout the 7 hour trip. She answered all our questions and described the sights clearly and in an interesting/fun way. I would highly recommend this activity.
Thank you so much, this is very kind of you. Hope to see you again.
The tour guide Leila was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient! She waited for us patiently. Leila curtailed the tour to our request.
Our Ephesus tour was PHENOMENAL!! Banu, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. She led us all over Turkey in a new Mercedes air-conditioned van explaining culture and history to us along the way. We did the Ephesus walking tour, toured the House of the Virgin Mary, enjoyed an authentic Turkish luncheon in a beautiful setting, toured a working Turkish knotted rug factory where we saw rugs being handmade, stopped at a family-owned pottery enterprise where we got a turn at the pottery wheel and bought some true Turkish hand made pottery, and we made many, many stops for beautiful photos throughout our day. Banu and the driver were so very kind to share their culture with us. The private all day tour was absolutely the BEST way to see Turkey!! We will cherish the sights, photographs, and memories forever!!
Had a day in Kusadasi as part of a cruise, and took a private tour in Spanish with this company. Ender was an excellent guide, the vehicle was very comfortable, and the tour was enjoyable by all of us. We were a party of 10 that included a 7 year old kid and older travelers that walked a little slower. Ender was extremely patient with all of us and was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. I extremely recommend them.
Isker our guide, was very knowledgeable. He explained the history of each place we visited and answered all our questions. We has a great authentic lunch at a place he recommended. This was one of our best tours through Viator.
We highly recommend Ephesus Port Tours. We had a fantastic tour of Ephesus with Isik. She shared her knowledge of the culture and history of Ephesus and managed to navigate us around the many crowds so we had a feeling of having an intimate personal tour. Isik met us right when we got off the ship. We had an amazing visit and saw so much and learned a lot in a short period of time. The driver was friendly and drove us safely. We feel our money was well spent and would go back in a heartbeat!
The tour guide Mr. Tamer Aksan was wonderful! He took the time to explain to us every detail with knowledge and patience. He helped us to do some shopping and as well to take us to a great restaurant that had excellent food and at a very reasonable price. This was the best tour we had on our cruise trip...highly recommend to anyone who is planning to go to the port of Ephesus. I need to add that the friendship and courtesy found in Turkey was incredible and not found at the other stops the cruise ship made in Grese.
We were met by Nazim right outside the port. He was very friendly and extremely informative. He holds degrees in History and it was like having a walking encyclopaedia with us. We appreciated all the information at Ephesus. Being in a group of three it was easy to navigate our way through the very busy tour groups. We were taken to a shop that carried teas, spices and had delectable Turkish delight to sample, prior to purchasing. We then went to a ceramic studio where we observed the pottery process, bought a few things, sadly, the cup we purchased had some of the pint and glaze flakes off upon unwrapping. The store guarantees their bubble wrapping, as they stated you could kick it like a football and it won’t break, we didn’t not kick it but it was broken. We will see if they honor their guarantee as it was expensive for a cup. Then onto a traditional meal and then a visit to a carpet weaving demonstration. The workmanship is amazing. We learned that to continue the tradition, the Turkish government provides the loom and all the materials to women to weave the rugs and then can sell them and keep all the proceeds. They also have brokers that will pay them for their rigs and then turn around and sell them. This is what we experienced. Unfortunately, it was very high pressure salesman staring you down to make a decision. They will ship the rigs to your home, insured. The Turkish government gives them a rebate of $200 so they use this to pay for the shipping etc. though we enjoyed the rugs , we would did not enjoy the staring or pressure that was put on us. Also, as we were dropped off at the end of our tour, we found the shopping across from the port provided the Turkish delight at much lower prices.
