Maria Pia est une infrastructure ferroviaire qui traverse le fleuve Douro, reliant Porto et Vila Nova de Gaia. Conçu par Gustave Eiffel, il était autrefois le plus grand pont en arc de fer du monde et est considéré comme l'un de ses plus grands chefs-d'œuvre.
Le Ponte Dom Luís I est une véritable icône de la ville de Porto et une merveille d'ingénierie du XIXe siècle. Le pont Dom Luís I enjambe le fleuve Douro entre Porto, sur la rive nord, et Vila Nova de Gaia, sur la rive sud.
Le pont Arrábida est un pont en arc qui traverse le fleuve Douro, reliant Porto et Vila Nova de Gaia. Il a été construit en 1963 pour répondre à l'augmentation du trafic et au besoin d'alternatives aux anciens ponts. À l'époque de sa construction, le pont possédait la plus grande arche en béton armé de tous les ponts du monde.
Le pont São João a été construit pour remplacer le pont D. Maria Pia, un autre pont emblématique de Porto. Le pont São João est devenu un point de repère emblématique dans l'horizon de Porto et un lien de transport important entre Porto et Vila Nova de Gaia. Il est intéressant de noter que pendant la construction du pont, les archéologues ont découvert les vestiges d'une voie romaine et d'un chantier naval médiéval sur le site, ce qui fournit des informations précieuses sur l'histoire de la région.
Le pont de Freixo, inauguré en septembre 1995, est un pont routier qui relie Vila Nova de Gaia à Porto, au-dessus du fleuve Douro. De tous les ponts reliant Porto à Vila Nova de Gaia, le Ponte do Freixo est celui qui se trouve le plus en amont du fleuve Douro.
Le pont Infante Dom Henrique, également connu sous le nom de pont Infante, est un pont routier reliant Vila Nova de Gaia à Porto, sur le fleuve Douro, au Portugal. Nommé en l'honneur de l'Infante Dom Henrique (principal promoteur de l'expansion portugaise, les "découvertes portugaises"), né à Porto, il s'agit du pont le plus récent reliant Porto et Gaia.

We were not able to redeem the booking voucher for tickets because the tour office closed early. The booking stated that the voucher could be redeemed for any cruise on our booking date. It also stated that the last cruise on the river was at 8:30 pm. We attempted to redeem the voucher at 6 pm, and the tour office was closed. We should receive a full refund because it was not disclosed that vouchers must be redeemed before 6 pm. We are very disappointed and would not recommend Viatour with this tour company.
Booked a couple of hours before using the ticket through Viator. Instructions to make our way to Ribeira. and a choice of two operators to take our ticket to, either Douro Acima or Tomaz do Douro. We chose the first but it was just the first one we came to. Showed our ticket and were told to come back in half an hour and where to wait and we were booked on the next sailing cruise. No hassle, simple to use. Boat was great, no need for headphones, six bridge info was narrated over the speaker in two languages. Clear info on the bridges but not too much to overwhelm. All in all a great boat ride. It is also cheaper to book in advance rather than at the quay side.

The boat itself was pleasant but finding check in was remarkably difficult. The address given via Tripadvisor led randomly to a locked gate on a back street with a QR code that led to a spam website. There was thankfully a map that directed to the correct location on the quay. When we finally found the booth on the quay we were given a paper ticket but still had to produce our electronic one as well. Overall unnecessarily complicated. Whilst we saw the bridges and the view of Porto was delightful the actual tour was not good as the (pre-recorded) audio could barely be heard. Disappointing.
The trip is spectacular, the crew is super friendly and attentive. We recommend 100%, we will definitely repeat.
Enjoy views of Porto from the river. You can see all the bridges with their diverse structures from this vantage point. A quick but worth it ride.

superb experience good communication and support
A lovely, simple way to see Porto and its six iconic bridges from the water. Great value for money, especially if you’re looking for a shorter cruise rather than spending hours on a boat. Think of it more like a ferry experience shared with other passengers than a luxury cruise. That said, everyone gets a seat with a good view, making it a relaxing and enjoyable way to experience the city from the river. I would say this trip is kid friendly and appears to be suitable for people with accessibility issues.
Beautiful river cruise! Nothing extra about it except for the amazing views of both sides of the river. Nice perspective to see the wine companies but also the amazing landscape of Porto!
