Nous sommes nés, avons grandi et avons toujours vécu à Porto, donc nous connaissons la ville comme un local et, comme il s'agit d'une visite privée, nous la personnaliserons selon vos intérêts. Dans cette visite privée de nourriture / vin, nous allons nous concentrer sur la gastronomie Portugaise, mais vous apprendrez beaucoup sur notre culture, histoire et traditions, ce qui nous rend unique. Vous visiterez le marché de Bolhão et plusieurs restaurants et tascas (magasins traditionnels), tout en entrant en contact avec les habitants. Entre-temps, découvrez les histoires derrière nos plats principaux : la légende des "tripeiros", nom donné aux habitants de Porto ; vous apprendrez comment se fait la "francesinha", cette "bombe calorique" à ne pas manquer et les savoureuses recettes de morue, si importantes dans notre culture. Nous l'harmoniserons avec nos vins Portugais et vous expliquerons les divers raisins et régions viticoles. Et qu’en est-il de nos gâteaux, comme le pastel de nata ou le jésuita ? Profitez-en plus ! Notre Guide accrédité vous attendra à l'horloge intérieure de la gare de São Bento. Les peintures murales représentent des moments de l'histoire du pays, et les panneaux multicolores représentent des scènes rurales montrant les habitants de diverses régions, ainsi que les 2 régions viticoles du nord du Portugal. Les habitants sont connus sous le nom de "Tripeiros", et vous découvrirez la légende derrière, qui est liée à la conquête de Ceuta (1415), avec la figure principale de l'infant D. Henrique, qui a soumis les Maures. La gare est située dans le centre historique de Porto, qui a été déclaré patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO et monument national du Portugal. C'est le principal terminus des lignes de chemin de fer de banlieue de Porto, et il est relié à la station de métro São Bento sur la ligne de métro D.

Essayez de pastel le nata avec un café. En même temps, vous observez la maîtrise et l'habileté impliquées dans la fabrication d'un pastel de nata, du façonnage de la pâte dans les moules à son remplissage avec la crème, qui doit être placée jusqu'au bord, avec une précision extrême.

We had a wonderful afternoon exploring many delicious venues. A flavorful shredded pork sandwich- a favorite of the locals, was first on the list. This was followed by a stroll through an historic market sampling wines, sardines, fresh oysters and stuffed dates and figs. The next treat we enjoyed was a sample of Ginjinha, a delicious cherry liquor available at a family owned shop. After a short walk we attended a luscious olive oil tasting complete with Portuguese cheese and charcuterie. A stop at a unique shop featuring jams, honey and chocolate spreads flavored with fruit was amazing. The perfect finish was a visit to a pastry shop for an espresso and the quintessential Portuguese pastry, Pasteis de Nata. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour in Porto with João. He provided insight into the culture and development of the area, along with a wonderful sampling of a variety of food and drinks. We had the greatest time touring with Oporto & Douro Moments! My husband and I had traveled to Porto once before but wanted to try something different this time. We booked a walking food and wine tour on a Sunday morning and it was the perfect way to see the city (definitely wear comfy shoes!) and get to learn a little more about the history and the special dishes of Porto!
