Visite guidée en petit groupe à Pompéi au départ du port de Salerne

We have been wanting to tour Pompeii for quite some time and we finally took advantage of an opportunity to visit. First off, Pompeii can get extremely hot during the summer, so be sure to bring a hat, plenty of water, an umbrella for shade, and comfortable walking shoes. Our tour guide, Angelo, was outstanding. He has an impressive knowledge of Pompeii’s history and culture, along with a fascinating background in volcanology. I asked him numerous questions throughout the tour, and he patiently and thoroughly answered every one. This was an incredible experience and a must-see for anyone touring Italy. Angelo’s expertise made our visit to Pompeii especially memorable!

Best tour guide I have ever had! She was incredibly interesting with her stories and kept to the perfect tour length. I learned a ton and feel like we saw the best parts of Pompei. She also kept us in the shade because it was excruciatingly hot, which is hard to do because there is limited shade there.

Anna was super knowledgeable. It was very hot this day and she did a great job of finding shaded areas to stand and talk. Wishing we had more opportunities to see more of Pompei than we did since we paid for a private tour.

Francesca was a very engaging and knowledgeable guide! We were merchants and sailors for our trip, or as Francesca said we were living there! Learned so many facts about pompeii, I would definitely recommend the visit. We even got souvenirs as a gift at the end. Transport to and from Salerno port was easy, meeting point was only a short walk from our boat.

This tour is a good introduction to the huge site of Pompei, which is impossible to see in only one visit. Our guide Arna, was extremely knowledgeable and quite entertaining.

A super tour of Pompeii - our guide James was fantastic! The best guide we’ve ever had. He haves us lots of insights of the area and loved the topic! He answered every question and was sensitive to the weather and our groups needs.

Transportation could be improved. Newer car would be nice, on the way back the AC was broken. Guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Suggestion, use personal earpiece so you can hear the guide better. Due to the crowd, sometimes it is hard to hear everything the Guide says.

The details shared by our tour guide Alessandra and her clear and engaging narrative was one of the best group tours I’ve experienced. We were a little larger than the small group advertised but she did an excellent job of keeping all of us together. I’ve been to Pompeii and toured with just the audio guide and map before but learned so much more today. Grazie!

I did this tour with my 87 year old mom and was nervous. Sasa make sure she was kept in the shade as much as possible and took frequent breaks to make us all understand what we were seeing. He is an amazing tour guide and it’s obvious that he loves what he does. Very educational and kept us all engaged. Thank you Sasa for an amazing tour. The other thing I wanted to mention is the great round trip with air conditioning vehicles from Salerno. I was able to text Viator via what’s app who reassured me that the driver was on the way and at the right spot for pickup.
