There is so much to see here and it's good to have a guide point out various aspects and minute details one would gloss over walking around on your own. If you can, do an early in the morning tour and stay for the rest of the day to see as much as you can walk. Pompeii is a little flatter or less stairs than Herculaneum. Still a lot of uneven surfaces to navigate and lost people to bump into. My only complaint was finding the meeting point (a kiosk building) but luckily they were periodically calling out names loudly so we were able to find them and check in on time. Great to have whisper boxes in case of noisy groups around or quiet guides.
We had a great guide Maria, who was clear and easy to understand. She was knowledgeable about the site and the pace was even. The tour was around 2 hours long with the option of staying longer. The meet up point was easy to find. Bring water and a hat as it can get very hot.
It is a very interesting activity, learning about what happened in the city was very entertaining, our guide Rafael very friendly and empathetic.
This was a wonderful tour! Everyone was so helpful. Our train was late getting there and we had to walk swiftly to our meeting place but I was able to text them and get a response real time! They were actually looking for me to make sure I made it. Our guide was so smart and funny! It was everything I hoped it would be!
The guide was very knowledgeable, but because her Italian accent was so thick, it really took away from the tour.
All perfect, the guide very professional, good and clear explanations, very agile tour, Marina is excellent!! Highly recommend the tour with her
Great tour of Pompeii with good guide and knowledge. Started late not great organisation at the start ended up waiting 20 minutes for other people who were late for their tour, which delayed our start time which was disappointing.
Pompeii is much larger and more complex than I imagined, so having a guided tour made a real difference. Our group was small, which I appreciated and it made everything more manageable and less chaotic. The guide was well prepared and explained things very clearly. The pace was comfortable, and I felt like I actually had time to take things in. A very worthwhile experience, especially if you're visiting Pompeii for the first time!

Very well-organized tour. The meeting point was easy to find, and we appreciated the skip-the-line entrance, a time-saver!! The guide was prepared, calm, and explained things clearly. Walking through the Forum and the residential areas gave us a real sense of how the city worked. The group size was manageable, and we could hear everything thanks to the headphones. All in all, a great experience!

Pompeii is massive, way bigger than I thought! Honestly having a guide made such a difference! Our group was small, which was great because it didn’t feel crowded or overwhelming. It was super hot the day we went, so skipping the line was a lifesaver. The guide had a nice way of explaining things, clear, interesting, and not boring at all, even if you’re not super into Roman history.I’d totally recommend this if it’s your first time visiting… you get way more out of it than just walking around on your own!
