Foro de Pompeya
Il Foro di Pompei era la piazza principale della città e rappresentava il centro politico, economico e religioso
Macellum
Visita al Macellum di Pompei situato sul Foro e in quanto il mercato delle delle carni o del pesce di Pompei era uno dei punti focali della città antica. Si possono vedere gli affreschi che mostrano i cibi mangiati dai Romani nel I sec d. C
Terme del Foro
Le Terme del Foro si trovano alle spalle del Tempio di Giove Il settore termale, sviluppato per circa 410 mq, L'edificio ha sia una sezione maschile che una femminile ed entrambe le sezioni avevano un ingresso indipendente. A rifornire d'acqua le terme era l'acquedotto del Serino anche se disponevano di un pozzo nel caso di mancanza d'acqua. Il soffitto di tutti gli ambienti è a quello originale e conserva gli stucchi dell’epoca. La vasca nel calidarium è in marmo e il pavimento mosacaito
Casa del Fauno
Visita alla Casa del Fauno una delle più lussuose e grandi dimore aristocratiche della repubblica romana, all’interno è presente il Mosaico di Alessandro ( ovviamente è solo una copia ) l’originale è conservato al Mann
Casa dei Vettii
La Casa dei Vettii è una domus di epoca romana, sepolta durante l'eruzione del Vesuvio del 79 e ritrovata a seguito degli scavi archeologici dell'antica Pompei (VI - 15 - 1) : rappresenta uno dei massimi esempi d'arte romana del I secolo ed è così chiamata dal nome dei proprietari, Aulo Vettio Restituto e Aulo Vettio Conviva All’interno della zona è stato rinvenuto un ambiente che conserva pitture erotiche , per cui questa stanza usata dalla prostituta che abitava con il padrone
Via dell’Abbondanza
Si continua passeggiando per Via dell'Abbondanza.Questa strada collega nel lungo percorso ai maggiori nuclei della città tra il Foro e Porta Sarno, come il Foro, le Terme Stabiane, i Teatri, il Tempio di Iside e l'Anfiteatro

Well worth doing the tour!
We arrived at Pompeii (with luggage), not expecting to do a tour. We stored our luggage and were offered a 2hr tour. We are SO glad we paid the extra for the tour. Not only did we skip the long queues, but Nicol (?? - hope that’s right!!) was AWESOME! His knowledge, kindness and humour were 10/10. We learnt so much more than if we had of just wandered around on our own. Thank you Nicol 🙏🏼 We all (5 of us) thoroughly enjoyed it and got more out of it than we expected.

The tour operator was...
The tour operator was very friendly, the tour guide was super knowledgeable and funny too. They accommodated us by taking us early - we arrived sooner than expected.

Vatican City guided tour
We visited Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica. Our tour included a guide for the Vatican City portion. Check-in and organization were great, but unfortunately, we had a difficult experience with the guide. Early on, the guide was quite rude to a woman who was trying to listen in without being part of the tour. Since her microphone was on, everyone in our group could hear her yelling at the woman. While it's understandable that listening in without paying wasn't fair, the level of rudeness felt unnecessary, and everyone in the group seemed a little shaken by it. Shortly after, someone asked a valid question, and the guide dismissed it quite rudely, insisting she'd never said what he was referring to. This made everyone uncomfortable, and for the rest of the tour there was little to no interaction — just her talking. At times it was also a bit hard to follow along with what she was saying, and combined with feeling hesitant to ask anything further, we didn't feel comfortable trying again. Given the high price of this guided tour, we expected much more. I wanted to learn about Vatican City, but didn't feel I got that from the guide — I ended up going home to look up answers to questions I still had. She never introduced herself, so I don't even have a name to reference.

Great visit
Our excellent and very knowledgeable guide took us to many Pompeii highlights during the two hour tour. We spent another three hours on site after the tour and could have easily spent more time in Pompeii. Although lm sure our guide did not want to waste a moment, a short comfort break built into the tour would have been appreciated.

Great value for money
This experience was extremely enjoyable and educational. We had Mia as our tour guide, who was very good at giving us information and making it fun. It was very hot on the day we went, so I would say bringing water is essential and there is a fountain where you can fill it up about half way through the tour. The earphone they gave worked very well, we could hear everything Mia was saying very clearly. There are toilets and places to eat and drink there too, as well as being very close to the train station. The price was very good for what we experienced and was definitely a better decision than walking aimlessly around by ourselves. The length of the tour was perfect and did go quickly and at the end Mia explained thoroughly how to get to different areas such as the Amphitheatre by ourselves which was very useful.

Guided tour with archeologist
We took the train from Sorrento to Pompeii and at the station, we booked a 2-hour guided tour with the operator. It was 44 Euros per person and 10 Euros for my son who is under 18. If we'd still been part of the EU, it would have been 2 Euros. Thanks Nigel........ In any case, the tour was superb. The site is vast and of you do it on your own, you'll never know the good spots. Our guide was Laura and she was excellent. Laura knew all her facts and brought the place to life. We had earpieces which meant we could hear Laura's explanations despite the huge crowds milling around. After the tour we were free to wander around the site. Thoroughly recommend this guided tour.
