Fantastic tour, a lot of information which allowed me to get to know the city in the short time I was in Lyon (just passing by). Paul was great, entertaining and knew a lot about the city.
I took the free walking tour with Paul of the Peninsula part of the city and it was excellent! Paul was Excellent! 10/10
It was a great experience with Paul! My husband and I love learning about the art along the road and stories of the past. How different buildings has a story that we didn’t know and made the experience in Lyon so much more meaningful. He was very knowledgeable and provided many useful tips and recommendations. This trip is definitely worth it and I recommend bringing some cash to give a little extra tip because I hope he continues doing this for a very long time. He has different tours too. Totally worth it!
Paul was our guide; it was a great tour. Paul knew how to explain things in a vivid, understandable, and exciting way. We saw a lot that we would not have discovered on our own.
The entire walking tour was fantastic and Paul was a great host
Excellent introduction to Lyon, Paul was a knowledgeable and interesting guide, setup perfectly for the free time I had available.
We rock-up on-time, and our man Paul is there to greet us. Paul is NOT hard to spot: he is Dutch; he is very tall! Paul's English is better than a fair few native English speakers. He starts by explaining what his tour encompasses; including that there will be many steps up, and many steps down involved (hence my title for this review!) Not to re-write what others have said in abundance, but Paul is a brilliant tour guide, and we love his tour. He takes us into places we would never even have guessed to go, and he tells us about the history of each place we visit. His knowledge is outstanding, and he throws-in some houmour to boot. At the end of the tour, Paul gives us an A6-size printed paper handout with some 'Must see in Lyon' and 'Food & Drink' recommendations 👍 After the tour, we went into one of his recommended cafés. It was excellent 😋 Summary: super tour guide; great tour; explore, discover and enjoy 😃
Paul was fantastic! So knowledgeable. We booked on the recommendation of a friend to see the secret tunnels of Lyon. He delivered so much more. So much history of the city, about the silk industry, the original Roman city, wall art. He also advised on the best places to eat.
Unique and insightful tour with excellent story telling and thoughtful visual aids. Definitely take this if you are in Lyon!
great info perfect for introduction/first day
