Poble Sec et Sant Antoni offrent un regard attentif sur la vie locale de Barcelone, avec des rues étroites, de vieux théâtres comme El Molino et un rythme façonné par les résidents plutôt que par les touristes. En marchant, vous entendrez comment ces quartiers se sont développés, comment la culture sociale en plein air comme la terrasse est devenue partie intégrante de la vie quotidienne et pourquoi cette zone se sent toujours ancrée même si elle change lentement. Les dégustations reflètent ce même rythme local. À chaque arrêt, vous goûterez une variété de petits plats, des bouchées de taverne de style cadisien comme du poisson frit ou du thon salaisonné aux platillos de saison préparés dans une petite cuisine dirigée par un chef qui n’ouvre que quelques soirs par semaine. La soirée se termine par quelques desserts nostalgiques accompagnés de cava. Chaque arrêt offre un mélange différent, selon le jour et les préférences du groupe.

Nous commencerons juste à l'extérieur du célèbre théâtre El Molino, qui fut autrefois nommé Le petit Moulin Rouge, avant de nous faufiler dans le quartier de Poble Sec, à la découverte de trois des meilleurs restaurants de la ville.
Nommé d’après un célèbre chanteur de flamenco, ce n’est pas tout à fait un restaurant mais une vraie taverne de style sudiste : pas de chaises, juste des tabourets, et beaucoup de caractère. Tout vient de Cadix, la ville natale de la propriétaire, où elle obtient des vins directement de petits producteurs. Attendez-vous à une cuisine honnête et sans fioritures, avec des dégustations comme des artichauts au mojama, des fritos au pescaíto, des sandwichs au ragoût de porc ou du chicharrón croustillant, le tout accompagné de vin blanc sec.
Découvrez cette énergie jeune et vibrante, où accrocher une table peut sembler un accomplissement en soi. C'est l'endroit idéal pour pratiquer l'art de la "terracear" : revendiquer une place sur une terrasse et la garder farouchement pendant que vous sirotez et grignotez à un rythme non précipité, en vous imprégnant de l'ambiance animée.
C'est une belle et unique façade faite avec un patchwork coloré de mosaïques. Il a été construit au début des années 1900 par un architecte inconnu.
Expert en platillos de haute qualité : petits plats avec juste une pointe de fusion pour les rendre passionnants. Chaque plat est délicieux, mais leurs patatas bravas sont vraiment inoubliables. Nous en goûterons, avec du pain de bricolage à la tomate, des carottes de style moyen-oriental, du porc ibérique au barbecue, du ragoût de queue de bœuf, des cannellonis fourrés à la viande, ou des plats de légumes de saison, accompagnés de vin rouge catalan.
La place tire son nom de la fontaine d'origine, qui a ensuite été déplacée à Montjuïc et remplacée par une copie de la fontaine Canaletes. Il abrite le centre civique actif de Poble Sec et un endroit idéal pour les familles qui se détendent autour d'un verre pendant que les enfants jouent, incarnant le style de vie décontracté et sain des villages méditerranéens en plein cœur de la ville.
Ce spot rend hommage à la fin des années 90 et au début des années 2000, lorsque Macaulay Culkin faisait la fête à Barcelone avant d’être branché. Le décor et les souvenirs décalés capturent cette époque, mais la vraie star, ce sont les desserts – ne manquez pas la torrija et la mousse au chocolat au sel et à l’huile d’olive, à déguster avec un verre de cava.

Esther was a superb host for our tour and gave us plenty of context to not only the food we were eating but the areas we were strolling through. Over the 3 hours we had more than enough to eat with a total of 6 savoury dishes that were all superb and mostly were tapas style dishes that I had never had before, which was unexpected. There were also 2 sweets and a total of 3 glasses of wine and I was lucky in that I only had two other people on the tour so it felt very exclusive and private. Would highly recommend.

This a must do experience. We went to three restaurants, all three were amazing. The tapas, the wine, the desserts- all very special. The guide, Esther was by far the best part. We felt very lucky that she was our guide she showed us places that we would’ve otherwise walked right past. She was fun, kind and so generous with her time and knowledge- not only of Barcelona but the other cities we were going to cost next on our trip. Don’t leave Barcelona without taking this tour!

This is a great tour of a less touristy area. We loved exploring a residential neighbourhood and seeing where the locals eat. Everything we ate was excellent! Our guide Kornelia was excellent and gave us lots of local insights and tips for our stay. If you want to see a beautiful neighbourhood with a very chill vibe, absolutely check out this tour. This is also a lovely area to stay if you're looking for somewhere more laid-back (we're staying in Sant Antoni). We will definitely be going back to the places we went on the tour!
