An amazing experience

Ee learnt a lot during our previous visit to mombasa. Our tour guide erick was well informed. Visited fort jesus, old mombasa, fish market tusks, tusks, uhuru gardens and hindu temple. I would recommend erick to my friends who would like to visit Mombasa

The guide not worth the money

I do not know if it is posible to visit the fort without a guide, but the place is small enough to see and comprehend on your own and with a guidebook.

Very moderate

We went into town with a group of 16 men for this it is far too busy drama Go especially with 2 or 4 men so you can take it easy and look around otherwise everything goes too fast and you miss everything

amazing history and place to visit

I visited Fort Jesus museum a fort tower that was built by Portugees. It was then captured by the omans to safeguard their colony from Zanzibar. later the Portuguese seized it and the fort was made stronger thus able to stand till today. Fort Jesus was later declared to be a national museum by UNESCO. it's a good place to visit to learn more about our country Kenya especially the Swahili culture.

Learn about colonial history

This is a place to learn about colonial history, relatively small, maybe half an hour to go, my interest is not great, but there are some souvenir shops nearby, some are very special, the locals are very expensive for tourists, be aware!

World Heritage

Wow, my wife and I loved Fort Jesus Museum in Mombasa. It is very informative, the staff are friendly and didn't mind the many questions we had. I would gladly recommend the place to anyone who loves history

Good history

Fort Jesus was built by the Portuguese towards the end of the 16th century. Located in the Old Town, Mombasa. The fort area is well preserved. Tour guides are available for tours within the fort since this is not inlcuded in the price of the city tours. Only the entry fees are included. I recommend a guide though since information notices are nto available throughout the fort
