I went on this tour but had to upgrade in the middle of the tour to include the hidden beach. It turned out that our boat had some people like me that just wanted snorkeling but others doing the hidden beach experience. I thought they are separate boats but they hey just put everyone together. So non hidden beach people have to sit on the hot boat for 45 minutes and wait until their hidden beach boat mates do their experience. We paid for the upgrade whem the boat parked and we learned how this works. It was fun but I feel sorry for people who just want to snorkel. BOTTOM LINE: just pay the extra money for the full tour that includes hidden beach otherwise you’ll be stuck watching other people have all the fun.
We had such a great experience on this boat tour with our whole family, including our 3 and 4 year old and grandparents! The crew was wonderful and made everyone feel comfortable and safe from start to finish. We loved getting to see the islands, swim over to a little beach, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. There was some higher swell during part of the trip, but the guides handled the boat incredibly well and were so attentive helping the kids safely get to and from the beach. It ended up being the perfect first boat experience for our kids and made for such a fun family memory. Highly recommend!
We had a really nice day and saw a lot of whales! Skipping the hidden beach made the price point more accessible, and while waiting for others to finish at the hidden beach, we actually saw plenty of whales and the boat captain made sure he swam close enough for us to see them. I would totally recommend!
Great trip to the Marietas and we got a really good feel for the islands and its biodiversity. Ruben and his shipmate Chuey were great and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable.
There were four of us on this tour and what a treat! On the way out to the islands we stopped to watch whales teaching their calves how to jump out of the water, it was incredible being so close to these magnificent creatures. After getting some great videos, we continued to the islands and toured around them before heading to the snorkel spot. We did not go through the tunnel to the hidden beach, as we have done that before and our friends were not keen on swimming in deep water. Our guide Mauricio was very friendly and knowledgeable, and stayed close by while we snorkelled for about 45 - 60 minutes. The ride back was about 15-20 minutes, all in was about 3 hours. I definitely recommend this smaller group excursion.
Beautiful island visit and snorkeling activity, several whales were seen during our crossing. The guide and boatmaster were great!
This was a wonderful tour! We saw 6 humpback whales on the way out to the islands and the guys were great about stopping to watch and photo these amazing creatures… they were so close to us! The snorkeling was great. We saw so many beautiful species of fish. We then stopped at a beautiful beach which was lovely. Our guides were excellent. Just the the best few hours… this tour is great!! Do it!
Fabulous day. The captain handled the boat well, the first mate was kind, funny and accommodating. The sites were incredible and whales paid us a visit so we got a bonus whale watch too! Highly recommend!
Excellent all around . We saw a pod of whales fighting and breaching. Guys were great !
Amazing experience! Small boat (gave it a more private feel!) and got to experience lots of nature without the big crowd. Thanks Ruben for being an amazing guide (and taking nice photos of us as well). Would definitely recommend this trip!
