To spend time in a city you must first learn what you are seeing. This highlights tour is a great beginning to your knowledge of this massive city. It’s both new world and old historical world all in one. Bill has loads of local knowledge and facts about a city he has been in since inception. A great start for your journey in Shanghai.
Bill was an excellent guide with lots of humor and knowledge and he spoke really good English as well. I recommend to do this tour
The Shanghai Highlights Walking Tour was an excellent choice to discover the major sights and history of Shanghai. Our friendly and helpful tour guide, Bill who speaks proper English provided us very interesting stories and useful facts about Shanghai, we really enjoyed the walking tour. I would recommend the Shanghai Highlights Walking Tour to everyone who would like to discover Shanghai by walk.
The tour guide Bill was super friendly and open minded! He gave many insights into the chinese culture and was very ambitious. He was also interested in the group members and it was very nice talking to him. He spoke very nice english. He even took us to a vegetarian restaurant after the tour was over to help us out!
Very interesting having a good time with my guide Bill and tourmate from Germany and Brazil highly recommended 👍
Walking along The Bund — the views were stunning. Bill, our guide, was funny and chatty. He knew a lot about the history of the area, and brought them to life with his re-tellings.
This has personally been one of my favorite walking tours I have taken in my years of traveling. Our guide, Bill, is very informative about the city of Shanghai, however, it was his backstory and storytelling skills that made it an enriching experience for me. This is what makes the tour unique, as he combines stories of his past with the history of Shanghai and how the city is today. The tour has a fair amount of time and its not neither enduring nor exhausting. If you are in Shanghai and are looking to get insight on the Bund, and old town, all while strolling through this lovely city, do it with Bill!
The tour was amazing, definitely one of the best decisions we made in our trip! Bill was great, very professional, fun and with lots of interesting facts. Thank you so much, we enjoyed it and we definitely recommend it.
Great tour to learn about Shanghai history. The tour guide is very fluent in English and very helpful to help guide to the meeting spot. The only reason that I did not give this a five star is the fact that the guide had asked for additional tip. The way it’s communicated soured the experience for me. Given the no tip or minimal tipping culture in Shanghai, maybe tour should be priced to include tip or make the minimum tip amount a requirement and super obvious to customers.
Hi Huong, so glad that you have enjoyed the tour!sorry for the misunderstanding about tipping, which was purely suggested and by no means mandatory.Thank you
Bill is a knowledgeable and energetic guide with an excellent command of English. He brought us to many historic sites and showed us the unique architecture in the British concession. Overall, a very good tour where I learnt alot from Bill!
