We had a really nice time learning about Georgetown and experiencing food and drinks that were new to us. Vincent is a lovely guy and took good care of us. He’s a very experienced guide and I highly recommend him and this tour. Particularly if you are staying in Georgetown, you will come away knowing exactly where to go to get a nice cheap feed

Vincent was a great tour guide! Very knowledgable and interesting to talk to. I liked that he took us sightseeing in between food stops, because it makede it easier to digest a bit and eat more food! The other girl on the tour and I were very confident that we could make it to the end in terms of trying everything, and we just about did, but we weren't eating much by the end (the sign of a great tour). We had about 10 different dishes in four locations and it was awesome.

A fabulous tour that delivered delicious food. Max was a fantastic guide who taught us about Food, Architecture and Culture. Our visit to the Taoist Temple was lovely and Max explained everything to us. Make sure you go on an empty stomach as we had so much food. We highly recommend this tour.

I’ve done quite a few food tours around the world and Poh was one of the best guides I’ve had. She is extremely knowledgeable (not just about food but pretty much anything you might like to know about Malaysia) and so easy to talk to. We tasted about 15 different things on this tour and got such a great insight into Penang food culture. If you’re vegetarian like me just be prepared to miss out on some dishes eg a variety of the noodle soups.
Thank you Myvawny for your glowing review! We're thrilled to hear that Poh provided an exceptional experience, showcasing her extensive knowledge of Malaysia. We appreciate your understanding about the limitations for vegetarians; we tried to cater for everyone's preference options. Looking forward to welcoming you again for another delightful culinary adventure! Have nice day. Cheers.
This was truly an amazing journey with our guide Miss Pho. Pho was extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about showing us different foods & the history of where certain dishes originated from. Pho answered all our questions that we were asking and it was lovely to sit and linger over our meals and chat about Penang, the food, life in Penang and the history. We certainly learned a lot. I would not hesitate in recommending this tour and you’ll be extremely happy to have Miss Pho as your guide. Don’t forget to start hungry and end up very very full!! 10/10
We're thrilled to hear about your fantastic experience with Miss Poh! Her passion for sharing Penang's culinary delights and rich history shines through. It's heartening to know you enjoyed the immersive journey, and we appreciate your recommendation. Starting hungry is indeed the best way to savor Penang's culinary treasures. Thank you for the glowing review! Have a nice day. Cheers.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and added many personal touches. All the food and drink was very tasty and authentic.
Thanks Maria. We are delighted you enjoyed the tour! Glad our guide's knowledge and personal touches enhanced your experience. Your appreciation of the tasty and authentic food and drink means a lot! Have a nice day. Cheers.
My husband and I took a food tour in Penang. Although the tour allows up to 12 people, we found out that we were the only participants that day. We had Beatrice as our tour guide who was excellent. Although we were late to our meeting place, she was very understanding and kept in contact with us through the whatsapp. In addition to the plentiful local food and drink tastings, we also learned so much about the Malaysian history, culture, life, religion, art, and people. Beatrice selected a nice variety of food to showcase the diverse food culture in Penang and every dish was delicious. She probably would have fed us more but we had to beg off because we were so full!! We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour and would defintiely recommend it to others.
Thanks Donna for the review. In fact the number 1 attraction in Penang I would say it is Penang hawker foods. Penang is unofficially "crowned as the hawker foods capital of Malaysia". As you have tasted during your tour, it represented the multi-cultures of Penang showcased in foods and cultures. Glad that you enjoyed your tour. Have a nice day. Cheers.
