Description
Penang, située au nord-ouest de la Malaisie péninsulaire, est une petite île compacte avec des endroits intéressants et intrigants. Il s’agit de la première colonie britannique en Malaisie, qui s’épanouit et prospère pour devenir le port le plus achalandé de la région. Penang est surtout connu comme un port de fusion pour de nombreux groupes ethniques dont le commerce le plus important était les épices; que les premiers Européens ont payé chèrement pour ces "or vert". L'Esplanade est situé au bord de l'eau, au cœur de George Town, à Penang, en Malaisie. Il couvre le champ adjacent au Fort Cornwallis, connu localement sous le nom de Padang, et la promenade en bord de mer le long du champ.
Entouré de verdure tropicale, c’est l’un des sites touristiques les plus connus de Penang. Il propose une grande variété de batik de qualité, allant des batiks aux gravures sur bloc aux pièces dessinées à la main. À la fabrique de batik de Penang, contrairement à l’impression recto habituelle, chaque pièce présente des motifs et des couleurs des deux côtés du tissu.
Paysage tropical avec plus de 500 espèces de plantes, visites de jardins, promenades nocturnes et cours de cuisine.
Lieu contemporain intérieur / extérieur avec papillons vivants et autres insectes, ainsi que des ateliers interactifs.
L'usine de batang de Penang est l'un des pionniers de la fabrication de batik sur l'île. Fondé en 1973 par Craft Batik Sdn Bhd, il est situé à Teluk Bahang, à quelques pas des jardins botaniques de Penang. Le complexe est divisé en trois sections: une galerie d'art, une boutique et un atelier.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver Mr Azmel was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much. Our tour of the Batik Factory and sales outlet was well worth it. Our favourite was the Butterfly Farm - such a beautiful experience.

Driver was on time. Not very talkative, really just a driver. As we had visited both locations and still had time he did suggest another location to visit .

The overall experience was good. The downside was it was difficult walking the trail. Be prepared for high humidity. Has a jungle feel for me. Worth the effort.

Great and personalized experience with our guide, who pick up us at the crusade ship harbour , very fluent in english and a good knowledge about the region and people in the area. She showed us also some extra highlights, we realized, that she is quite proud of her country.

Great exploration of the Island with wide ranging activities and local knowledge. Very flexible on timing so we could explore at our own pace. Everyone enjoyed the Butterfly Garden, Fruit Sampling and the Spice Garden was very interesting to explore. Comfortable tour from knowledgeable local host. Family of 4 Australians w/2 teenage kids.

The guide wasn't a guide, just a driver. Sorry, we have not received any information about the island, city, culture,... The booked program also did not fit with the plan of the "guide". He did not want to approach two points of the program. Value for money does not fit. With this experience, next time we would take a grave and drive to the points described in the program, pay the entrance fee ourselves and then we would have saved a lot of money.

Disappointing visit. If the route is well indicated, the plan is well done, the garden lacks maintenance and information for beginners. Not many haunts in the paths, the vegetation is mixed, it is very difficult to spot the species. The route is short. Little or no spices. Overall disappointing Jean Pierre
