Visiting historic sites and learning about the spiritual life of Marrakech gave me a much deeper understanding of the city beyond what most visitors see.
Abdul is a very welcoming knowledgeable guide. He has a very gentle way about him. He gave a lot of his time and attention towards my wonderful experience getting to know Marrakech as a solo female traveller. I’d highly recommend!
Thank you for your kind words. I’m delighted you felt welcomed and enjoyed discovering Marrakech as a solo traveler—it was a pleasure sharing the city with you.
This was an exceptional service, and our guided walking tour in Marrakesh was a wonderful introduction to the city. Our guide Abdul Aissaoui was excellent, he spoke perfect english and brought us on a well planned tour of the major places of interest and the Medina. He answered all our questions with ease, and by the end of the tour we had learnt so much about the city and the people who live there. I look forward to returning to Marrakech and will definitely include another tour.
Thank you for your generous feedback. I’m delighted you enjoyed the walking tour and that it gave you a meaningful introduction to Marrakech. I look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit.
My wife and I booked a Spiritual Heritage tour with Abdul as a private guide, because for my wife it was the first time in the Maghreb. Marrakech has such a rich history that we didn't want to miss out on the key milestones without a knowledgeable guide. We had no interest in shopping, and much rather took an interest in the architecture, the craft behind it and the evolution of it. Abdul picked us up at our Riad perfectly on time and guided us from there to the Koutoubia, Mellah with synagogue, Madrasa, Royal Palace, and through the souks, never getting tired of our endless questions about the historical contexts, the why's and the philosophical teachings. He has been doing this for many years, is highly educated, very nice and relatable and designed the walking tour completely to our liking. He did not gear us to any stalls where sometimes people pressure you to buy something, which was very important to us, given past (undesirable) experience. Having grown up in the Medina, he had so many stories to tell, that I wished I could have recorded him. We would book him any day again when we return to Marrakech. - Thank you Abdul for making the day and the trip memorable - P.S. It seemed that the best way to reach out to him is via WhatsApp (English, French and Arabic that we know of).
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous words. It was a true pleasure to guide you both through Marrakech’s spiritual and architectural heritage, especially knowing how meaningful the experience was for your wife’s first visit to the Maghreb. I deeply appreciate your curiosity and engagement throughout the tour—your questions brought the history to life in such a dynamic way. I'm glad the focus on craftsmanship, philosophy, and authenticity resonated with you, and that we could avoid the commercial distractions to stay true to your interests. Sharing stories from the Medina, my home, is always a joy—next time, we’ll make sure to bring a recorder! Looking forward to welcoming you back whenever you return. Until then, thank you again for your trust and for allowing me to be part of your journey.
