The very rocky and hilly graveyard

Not quite as ghostly and scary as I thought it would be, but still very interesting. A lot of walking up and down very rocky and narrow passages. You need to pay attention to where you’re stepping ! We were there for the Jim Morrison grave, but the others were very interesting. also Guide did a great job. A little long winded on some of the graves but still good job.

Our guide Etienne had chosen iconic tombs that were surrounded by incredible and very interesting stories. I commend his storytelling talents and enthusiasm. He seemed passionate, and as a result, it was exciting. Thank you very much.

A must-do!!

I loved it!!! The guide was excellent this Sunday, June 7th at 3:30 PM. A different visit, full of anecdotes. Fascinating guide 👍👍 We did not waste time on the graves of contemporary artists, except for Jim Morrison. A true 'haunted' discovery, a different way to visit this beautiful cemetery. Advice: When you arrive at the funeral home, it is almost the end of your visit. The guide did not warn us, so I did not have my tip ready :( In conclusion, we left nothing, even though it was well deserved. However: I strongly advise against it for people who have difficulty walking, the pace is quite brisk. My 84-year-old father, who has heart issues, decided not to join us, and fortunately, he would not have been able to keep up. Free restrooms at the entrance of the cemetery. (To the right) We were able to park for free in front of the cemetery on a Sunday. If you want to have lunch, there are nice restaurants nearby on Rue de la Roquette.

The guide ruins everything.

We hardly enjoyed this visit, where the guide Jade talked more about himself, constantly putting himself forward rather than the place he was discussing, poorly attempting to scare rather than allowing the visitors' imaginations to run free. It's a shame because he is truly knowledgeable and knows a lot about Père Lachaise. We left midway through the tour because his egocentric "show" took up all the space, and we then discovered more of the poetry of the places.

Disastrous. I regret it.

The guide knew nothing. I learned nothing. He talked about himself. He provided inaccurate information.

Perfect walk

Very interesting and necessary route to soak in the place without getting lost. The guide was very friendly, spoke very well, and managed to capture the attention of our two teenagers. Thank you for this very pleasant and informative moment. Would do it again..
