This was an amazing tour! Eloise was great! We covered a lot and she was very informative and personable! Definitely a tour to do!
Thank you, Ashley! We're so glad Eloise's warmth and knowledge came through so clearly, and that you left having covered so much. That's really the balance we love striking, plenty of substance without ever feeling rushed. We'll be sure to pass this along to her. We hope you loved Paris!
This was the perfect way to see the Louvre. We were able to bypass all lines on a very crowded day. Anthony was excellent. He navigated us through a see of people and gave us the right amount of information to keep us engaged without getting bored or overwhelmed. I loved the extra stories and details that made the experience fun and interesting!
Thank you, Lori! We're so glad Anthony struck exactly the right balance, enough to keep you engaged without ever feeling like too much, that can be tricky to get right on a busy day in the worrld's largest museum! Those extra stories are exactly what turn a walk through the galleries into something you actually remember afterward. We'll be sure to pass this along to him, and we hope you loved Paris!
Julie was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire tour so enjoyable. She brought the history to life without ever making it feel overwhelming, and she was fantastic about answering questions and making sure everyone in our group was comfortable and having a great experience. We learned so much and genuinely enjoyed every minute. Julie was a highlight of our time in Paris — highly recommend!
Thank you, Katie! We're so glad Julie made the history feel so alive without ever feeling like too much, that balance is genuinely hard to strike, and it's exactly what makes a guide memorable rather than just informative. Being a highlight of your time in Paris is about as good as it gets. We'll be sure to pass this along to her!
Meeting place was clear with helpful directions and coordinate's to find on google maps or Waze. Tour had group of about 16 people. We were given headsets to hear Anthony who was our wonderful, knowledgeable, personable and fearless guide. Before we started, he took the time to greet and connect with each one of us. We did not stay with the tour as we wanted to go off and explore everything our own which was allowable and up to us. But Anthony made sure he got us inside with the group tickets before letting us go free so we would be all set. Excellent way to see the Louvre since the tickets sold directly through the Louvre was sold out. Also Viator did a great job of sending us updates and reminders to make sure we were on track and had a good experience. We highly recommend this.
Thank you, Lakhana! We're so glad the meeting point was so easy to find, and that Anthony's warmth came through right from that first greeting with each of you. Getting everyone in with pre-booked tickets makes such a difference, especially with direct Louvre tickets so hard to come by. We're glad the updates helped keep things smooth too, and we really appreciate such a strong recommendation! We'll pass your kind words to Anthony.
Wonderful tour, guide was great. Got to see all of the must sees. Orsae was our guide and she was charming, informative and kind. Very much enjoyed our tour!
Thank you, Jessye! We're so glad Orsae's charm and knowledge made it feel like such a special day, and that all the must-sees came together so well. We're really glad it lived up to being once in a lifetime and we hope you had a fantastic stay in Paris!
Tour guide very knowledgable and provided excellent background on some important paintings. Over 40 years of experience!!
Thank you, Geoff! We're so glad Marjolein's depth of background on the paintings came through so well - 40 years of experience really does show. Thanks so much for taking the time to write this, we're delighted to read it and to share it with her. We hope you're having a fantastic stay here!
Overall, I was not impressed with the Louvre. It was packed and is massive and found it to be very overwhelming. Our tour guide was informative but due to the high ceilings and crowds, her microphone was picking up all kinds of background noise and most of the tour group took the whispers out by the end due to the annoying noises. We had to stay very close to the tour guide to hear. The Mona Lisa is tiny and you had to fight the crowd to even get close to it. Not a horrible experience but definitely a one and done.
Thank you for the honest feedback, Natalie. The Louvre genuinely is vast and can be intensely busy, and in a setting with high ceilings and big crowds, audio can occasionally pick up more background noise than usual, which we know makes it harder to stay close and follow along comfortably. We're glad your guide's knowledge still came through despite that. The Louvre isn't for everyone, and we appreciate you giving it a try even if it wasn't quite the day you'd hoped for.
Tour guide started punctually the tour. The Lourve Musuem is rather large so it’s good to have someone knowledgeable to guide you through the major highlights/exhibits. This was my second visit to the Lourve in 2 years. I learned much more than I did my first visit.
Thank you, Tinisha! We're so glad Mathieu's guidance made such a difference on your second visit — the Louvre is genuinely vast, so having someone who knows the highlights well means you get so much more out of it than wandering on your own. We really appreciate you sharing that comparison, and we'll be sure to pass it along to him!
I truly enjoyed my tour and my tour guide was absolutely wonderful! He was very knowledgeable patient and professional.
Thank you, Diana! We're so glad your guide's patience and professionalism came through so clearly, alongside all that knowledge. We really appreciate you sharing this and hope you had a wonderful stay here in Paris!
The tour was really too short. We saw just a few pieces, and while the stories and education behind the Women of the Louvre were great, it took 25% of the tour's time (30 minutes) just to get into the building and provide bathroom break for the group. Nothing wrong with the tour other than it was just too short.
Thank you Jackie and we're so glad the Women of the Louvre stories resonated! Our two-hour tour is carefully designed to cover the most iconic works and give a real feel for the museum without it becoming a marathon — the perfect starting point for those who want to explore further on their own afterwards. In high summer the Louvre is the busiest place in Paris and even with our timed reserved entry, getting in takes a little time — and we always offer a comfort break so everyone can enjoy the visit fully. We hope you had a wonderful time here in Paris.
