Lors de notre visite Secret Food Tour : Le Marais Paris, vous dégusterez une variété de plats de rue Français classiques en commençant par une viennoiserie/croissants, et en récoltant des pains, puis vous irez vous asseoir pour déguster un croque-monsieur classique dans le restaurant même où Jim Morrison a passé une partie de son temps à Paris, en plus de découvrir notre plat mystère et notre fromage tout en dégustant un verre de vin rouge et blanc. Visiter Le Marais, c’est aussi voir la rue juive de Paris et déguster des Falafels crémeux. Ensuite, partez pour un monde de douceur pour quelques incroyables chocolats et macarons colorés, le tout couronné par un dessert pour terminer avec style. Notre visite commence au cœur animé du Marais près de la célèbre rue DE Rivoli, l'une des rues principales de la ville. Pendant la visite, nous marcherons dans les vieilles rues, traverserons la place des Vosges et apercevrons certaines des plus anciennes maisons médiévales de Paris. Vous vous rendrez compte comment les habitants vivent dans cette partie de Paris et comment l'influence historique de la ville a façonné sa gastronomie.

Une église baroque marquante de 1641 dominant la rue Saint-Antoine. Son dôme a inspiré les Invalides, et ses marches veillent sur la vie du marché du Marais depuis près de quatre siècles.
60 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, 75003 Paris, Musée des Archives Nationales, Passer sans s'arrêter
La plus ancienne place planifiée de Paris, achevée en 1612 pour les célébrations royales. Ses arcades en brique rouge parfaitement symétriques abritaient autrefois Victor Hugo, et encadrent aujourd'hui l'un des endroits les plus élégants de la ville pour faire une pause entre deux dégustations.
La maison de l'écrivain de 1832 à 1848, nichée dans le coin de la place des Vosges. Hugo a écrit une grande partie des Misérables ici, et l'appartement est maintenant un musée gratuit donnant sur la place.

Le cœur battant du quartier juif historique de Paris, le Pletzl. Cette rue médiévale étroite est bordée de stands de falafels, de boulangeries yiddish et de charcuteries familiales — une histoire vivante des communautés qui ont façonné la culture alimentaire du Marais.
Marché des Enfants Rouges
30 Rue du Bourg Tibourg, 75004 Paris, Mariage Frère (depuis 1854) est l’un des plus anciens Salons de Thé de la Capitale et une institution pour les amateurs de thé.

Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and catered to the people in the group. Be very careful if you have food allergies. Some in our group had various nut allergies and it did not appear that our guide knew this in advance. Took some time to sort this out. Be prepared for approximately 5000 to 6000 steps which translates to about 4 miles. Food was good with an abundance of sweets. Be prepared!

There was plenty of food, and the largest portion came early on-the Croque Monsieur. After that it was smaller bites. There was one red and one white wine offered at one stop only. So don’t book this if you’re looking for more wine. The food variety was interesting and Sharif gave some historical information as well as cheese explanations.

I thought the food tour would be a nice change of pace from all the museums and also a good way to see the Le Marais district for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids around ages 19/20). Overall, I don't think it was worth the $140 per person cost. The food was subpar and the "fine wines" referenced in the description turned out to be $8 a bottle online. I wonder if the tour guide receives compensation from the food places we stop at. The tour guide, Pinky, was just ok. She provided some interesting background, but I felt it was a bit incomplete. Also, at times, it was hard to understand the points she was making to us. That said, she has a lot of great reviews on Viator so take my review with a grain of salt. Overall, if I had to do it again, I would just use an audio guided tour of Le Marais on my phone and spent the $700 for the 5 of us on better food, wine and other treats.

I have taken a few Secret Food Tours and I had a blast on this one as well. Paris is a great city to explore its cuisine. We had everything from cheeses to chocolate. We sampled about 5 or 6 different places. The wine that was paired with the food was fantastic! We also learned a lot about French cuisine history as well as some of the local areas. The Marais is a great place for its cuisine. The tour was around 3 hours long and the admission fee was worth what you get! We had a small group size of around 10 or so. I would highly recommend this tour!
