Lovely guide and a very interesting tour!

We had an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and gave us fun and interesting stories as we were guided around. Just the right amount of information as well. Very friendly and pleasant too. We were really glad we decided to do a tour! Definitely advise good footwear as there a lots of cobbled areas and some steps/slopes to climb. Only saw a couple of benches to sit down, so lots of time spent standing too, so it’s a bit of a workout. In hot weather bring some water too. Well worth the trip though!

This tour did not...

This tour did not focus only on celebrities, fortunately for me, but also on love stories, phantasmagorical and ghostly. We came across a young guide who was passionate about his work and the stories he told us. This person had a beautiful voice, very harmonious and narrative; it was a real pleasure to learn with him.

Excellent experience!

Very nice visit, interesting stories, and a passionate guide. We really liked the route, which was a bit different from the others because of the darker stories that were told there.

Cemetery Tour a Must!

Our tour guide patiently waited for us to join her. We were 10 minutes late and she met us with a smile. The historic knowledge she shared about the cemetery and the people buried there was fascinating and in depth. We had a great time.

The very rocky and hilly graveyard

Not quite as ghostly and scary as I thought it would be, but still very interesting. A lot of walking up and down very rocky and narrow passages. You need to pay attention to where you’re stepping ! We were there for the Jim Morrison grave, but the others were very interesting. also Guide did a great job. A little long winded on some of the graves but still good job.

A must-do!!

I loved it!!! The guide was excellent this Sunday, June 7th at 3:30 PM. A different visit, full of anecdotes. Fascinating guide 👍👍 We did not waste time on the graves of contemporary artists, except for Jim Morrison. A true 'haunted' discovery, a different way to visit this beautiful cemetery. Advice: When you arrive at the funeral home, it is almost the end of your visit. The guide did not warn us, so I did not have my tip ready :( In conclusion, we left nothing, even though it was well deserved. However: I strongly advise against it for people who have difficulty walking, the pace is quite brisk. My 84-year-old father, who has heart issues, decided not to join us, and fortunately, he would not have been able to keep up. Free restrooms at the entrance of the cemetery. (To the right) We were able to park for free in front of the cemetery on a Sunday. If you want to have lunch, there are nice restaurants nearby on Rue de la Roquette.
