Very happy with Jainaith and our driver on our first day of visiting Chennai on our first trip to India.

What a unique and amazing time we had with our guide. We had pre picked places we wanted to see and he brought us to all of them. He was knowledgeable and had the inside facts on these places. Didn’t see another tourist or feel unsafe. Highly recommend our guide especially on day one with no sleep! lol. Took good care of us. 🙏😊🌟

Very interesting and fun day

A wonderful day with Nivi from 5 Senses Tours. The fruit and vegetable market was a highlight! We had a delicious South Indian lunch. Pro tip: have Nivi order for you. She chose wonderful dishes for us to try.

An Excellent Flavor of Chennai Tour

This was an amazing tour of the markets (flower, vegetable, and fish). Our excellent guide, Hareesh, also took us to many other interesting sights in Chennai. These included a 12 kilometers long beach, old British buildings (beautiful architecture) and other fantastic sights. This was topped off by an authentic southern Indian lunch served on a huge banana leaf.

Chennai city markets

I highly recommend this trip if you want to experience the real markets of Chennai and are not bothered by crowded and less clean areas. My guide Nivi was excellent and very informative. She took me to Pookadai, the Burma bazaar, fish market by Marina Beach, Koyembedu market. I was able to purchase handicrafts at VTI and Spencer plaza. Had a late lunch at Geetham restaurant with an awesome thali meal. Overall, had a great introduction to the markets of the local population in the area.

Best place to buys unique collection of Sarees - Shrus Eternity

Recently I had been to Chennai for my vacation. Buying sarees is a mandatory in my checklist whenever I visit India. I usually love shopping in T.Nagar as it gives me loads of choices. This time i wanted to explore a new place. So i was searching for a good saree shop around T.Nagar and landed on Shrus Eternity's Insta page. I was in love with their sarees collection even before i touched down in chennai. I went to Shrus with my mom & aunt(I always need support when it comes to shopping :)) The variety of saree collection was really good. My favourite was their Kanchipuram silk sarees and silk cotton sarees. The staff were kind & patient and helped me through the details of the sarees. It was overall an amazing shopping experience. They also have a floor dedicated for home & lifestyle products. They also have domestic & international shipping.

Wonderful shopping experience

Nivi was a fantastic guide. We were running 10 minutes late and she was very accommodating and we met her at the first store. She basically held our hand while navigating wedding attire shopping. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking to shop.

Chennai Trade - Suppliers servicing the city

The flower and food markets were next level, out of this world as were the friendly people at the markets and stalls. Lunch was a cultural experience, particularly the nettle leave dessert. Nichee was a brilliant guide sharing his knowledge of the area and local culture. A bucket list must do experience.

Shopping in Bhubaneshwar

The old town areas in Bhubaneshwar - the Capital of Orissa !! This is popularly known as BMC market. Various shops adorn the areas, selling handicrafts, daily routine items, dresses, silks , artificial jewelry etc. Hardly 10-15 minutes walk away from the railway station. You can find types of bags in a side lane. Boyanika ( Govt of Odisha shop for handlooms et al ) is widely known. Narula sells dresses, cloths at reasonable price. No bargaining at Boyanika, Small amount bargaining at Narula. Was surprised the mango drink seller didn't allow me to buy a local mango - he was straight that I should buy the mango drink ( and not Mango ). In short - don't look for much of bargains in the city. Found "Murphy Radio" prominently displayed on old market building - a childhood memory.
