Our tour guide Angel was very knowledgable and informative. Visit to Teide National Park was excellent. Also the other stops in the villages were good and provided a good impression of Tenerife. We were given plenty of free time to explore on our own and had enough time for lunch. All and all it was a long day with plenty of driving, but would definitely recommend this tour.
Anglelmour kind was very knowledgeable, kept us uninformed the whole trip. Wonderful trip, would highly recommend the tour and Angel in particular
This was a perfect day - great itinerary, knowledgeable and friendly guide, fun stops with sufficient amount of time to explore. Loved it!
We loved every part of the trip, there was a lot of variation, that is what we loved. And a very good guide.
Angel was a very good guide, and provided a good balance of structured tour and free time on our own. The meeting place at Plaza Cabildo was very convenient and an easy walk from our dock at the cruise port.
Collected bang on time as we joined our small fellow "family" as our friendly guide Angel liked to call us. Comfortable travel, excellent route and some fantastic stops. Best of all was Angel himself. Knowledgeable, funny, personal and spoke excellent english. At nine hours this was great value for money. Would highly recommend.
Our driver gave good commentary and encouraged our group of strangers to interact. Tour was well paced; and we saw beautiful, wild scenery as well as attractive old towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
We made this excursion with Angel in the first week of July. Due to the Covid situation, we were able to do the outing completely alone and personalized, which was a fantastic experience. He came to pick us up by van at our accommodation in the south of the island, for which we had to pay a supplement of 36 euros. We visit the Teide National Park, which has spectacular landscapes, La Laguna (fundamental take a barracks, the typical coffee of Tenerife), Icod, where the famous millennial Drago is located and Garachico, a very beautiful villa, which is located between the mountain and the sea, reminiscent of some Asturian landscapes. In Garachico we ate at a restaurant called "La Almena de San Miguel" overlooking the sea. We liked the professionalism, sympathy and wisdom about Angel Island, our guide, so much that we asked you to take another excursion. We personalized a trip around the island from the south that ended at night in Teide National Park, watching the sunset and stars. Undoubtedly, highly recommended experience and a good contract with this Enterprise.
We did the northern route with Teide, with Jorge, we ended up delighted, because when we hired it we were not told that it would be an excursion for small groups and we expected the typical coach excursion to the tourist and it was just the opposite, I explain it. Jorge took us personally, first to visit the Lagoon, where he gave us a brief explanation and offered to walk through it freely, then we went to the Teide National Park, with different stops at the viewpoints with the aim of enjoying the views and also acclimatising the body until we reach the base of the Teide, with a previous stop at a public exhibition (with free toilets) in which he shows us in a pleasant way (with video and exhibition) everything related to the Teide and volcanic activity. We stopped at the typical sites of the park (Roque García and the San José mines), but without reaching the base of the cable car, even made a personalized stop at the Izaña station because my daughter made a comment regarding it. All the treatment received was great, always avoiding stops at tourist sites and with the stop for food in a typical Canarian site with popular prices. Then the route continued with Garachico, Icod de los vinos and even had the detail of making a getaway already against time to take us to see the beach of Las Teresitas and then take us back to our hotel. We ended up delighted with Javier’s treatment and his explanations, with the excursion itself and all in all, if something has to be put wrong, the van had had better days, but it did not mess up a fantastic day. Greetings
Overall I enjoyed the trip. It was nice to see Mount Teide and the view points we went to. Our “lunch” was at 4 pm, it was awkward timing since it wasn’t really dinner or lunch. The day also felt pretty long. I personally would have enjoyed more interaction and excitement, sitting in the van all day felt long and tiring. That being said the van was comfortable and clean. Both the driver and our guide were also really nice! I would recommend this trip to others, however in terms of improvement for the tour, more interaction from the guide and finding a way to adjust some of the itinerary timing would make it better.
