We had an unforgettable morning safari in Yala. Our guide, Isuru, knew the park incredibly well and always positioned the jeep perfectly for wildlife viewing without disturbing the animals. We were lucky to see a leopard, elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, and so many birds. Thank you for making our trip one of the highlights of Sri Lanka.
We saw many animals as you see by all tours. But the tourguide textes me all the time afterwards as a young woman i felt uncomfortable so i had to block him.
Of course disappointing to see more Jeeps than animals but given the heat no wonder animals are smarter than us ...
We were with morning rush, and was surprised that there were all 300 cars going out. A lot of sound and a lot of exhaust. Very beautiful and green park, and got to meet several animals there, such as elephants and crocodiles. Exciting hours of looking into the jungle. We had a break in the middle of the trip, and the cafe was stylish and modern, with nice service. What was terrible, however, were the toilets!! They were horribly dirty, lacked toilet paper and smelled bad! There is a great potential for improvement!!!
If you’re considering an afternoon safari, Janaka is the guide to book. He has an uncanny ability to find wildlife even in the late afternoon heat. We were lucky to spot a leopard walking along a rocky path and a crocodile lounging by the river. His stories about the animals and their behavior were captivating, and his love for the park shone through in everything he did. Ending the day with a stunning sunset made it all the more perfect
Janaka made the early morning wake-up so worth it! He knew the best routes to maximize wildlife sightings, and we were lucky to spot not one but two leopards, thanks to his quick thinking. What stood out most was his respect for the animals—he ensured we kept a safe distance while still getting breathtaking views. His passion for conservation was inspiring, and his storytelling made every moment meaningful
If you want to truly experience Yala’s beauty, go on a morning safari with Janaka! His enthusiasm and sharp spotting skills had us seeing animals we’d never imagine finding on our own. The highlight was seeing a leopard early in the morning, followed by a herd of elephants quietly grazing. Janaka also ensured we were comfortable with plenty of breaks and insightful explanations about the wildlife and plants we encountered. A perfect start to the day
Our morning safari with Janaka was an unforgettable adventure. From the moment we entered the park, he was fully engaged, pointing out every sound and movement. We saw a leopard lounging on a rock, a family of elephants enjoying a waterhole, and countless exotic birds. Janaka’s knowledge of the park’s ecosystem was incredible, and he made sure we didn’t miss a thing. Watching the sunrise over the park with him narrating the scene was pure magic
Janaka’s enthusiasm for the Yala ecosystem is contagious. He guided us to some of the park’s hidden gems while sharing fascinating stories. The crisp morning air and golden light made it an unforgettable adventure
