Excursion d'une nuit au Mont Ijen Blue Fire Trek au départ de Bali (tout compris)

What a fantastic 2-Day experience to hike the Ijen Volcano! Our driver was Gusti for the 2-Day tour! He picked us up from our accommodation in Bali and drove us through Bali with an awesome stopover at a coffee plantation, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and Twin Lake Viewpoint. All these stops were well timed and an amazing part of the experience! He then drove us all the way to the Gilimanuk ferry where he boarded with us and took us to East Java and continued to drive us to our homestay for the night/dinner. We then got up at 1am and Gusti drove us to the start point where he introduced us to our friendly mountain guide, who remained with us the whole time to see the blue flames and incredible view of the blue crater lake at the top! Our guide Gusti was there waiting for us when we were finished hiking and took us back to our homestay stay for breakfast and a quick shower before driving us all the way back to our accommodation in Bali where we arrived around 5pm. Gusti was absolutely amazing and friendly. Gusti took great care of us, he was great at explaining the tour, very well organised with the timing of the tour. He was always contactable on WhatsApp when we needed him and so hospitable. Our mountain guide was also awesome and knew so much about Ijen. I highly recommend this experience if you are staying in Bali and want to see the Ijen! Very much worth it and now my friend and I have unforgettable experiences to remember!

We had a great time on our Mount Ijen Blue Fire Tour. Mt. Ijen is so beautiful and the energy of the hike up there with all the people going up in the middle of the night was amazing! It was fun to see the “Lamborghinis” as the guides called them pulling people up the mountain too (and then sulfur down. The crater itself with the sulfur and acid lake was amazing! Our guide and driver Sherly and Gusti were great and made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable. We are grateful for their attention and kindness. Thank you!

Reliable and the places are fantastic

This tour was everything I hoped it would be. The tour manager kept in contact leading up to pick up and alerted us of any changes. Our driver, Halil, was the highlight of our trip. It’s a very long journey to get from Bali to Mt. Ijen and having someone we can laugh with and talk with along the way made the journey better. The hike itself wasn’t too difficult, and our hiking guide Jimmy was excellent. Not only did he keep us safe and stay at our pace, he also was very knowledgeable and an excellent photographer. We were so ecstatic we got to see the blue flames. Even though there are plenty of reviews about how strong the sulfur was, I was still surprised. Don’t stand downwind!. We hiked up to the crater rim to catch the sunrise, the tea and snacks were an excellent break in the hike. I would say it was definitely worth it to do the extended tour, especially if you are not staying in the northern region of Bali.

It was a great experience! Transport was arranged and it was very comfortable. The guide was friendly and he ensured that he kept pace with us. Took us down to the crater to see the fumes.

Had a great time with my mom seeing north Bali and hiking Kawah Ijen. Our driver Holil has such a positive attitude and was patient (he drove a lot), and our hiking guide Jeymi was friendly, accommodating and a great videographer! The homestay was also pleasant with a beautiful garden. Overall, the tour was well organized.

We had a great time doing this trip. Gusti, our driver, was great. He managed the roads so well and took us through central and north Bali which made the journey scenic but just as quick as the main road . The sites we visited in Bali were good to see and spots we enjoyed. The ferry ride both ways was easy, all we had to do was enjoy the trip. One of the reasons we chose this trip was that you were not on the go from pick up until return home. We stayed at the Hadi Homestay - which was lovely with delicious home cooked dinner before and breakfast after. Our guide Shirley (hope I spelt his name correctly) who took us up Mt Ijen was excellent and found us great viewing spots. Highly recommend this tour.

This tour was absolute perfection from start to finish!! While it was a long journey from Ubud, it was genuinely one of the most incredible experiences of my life and I would do it again in a heartbeat. It is absolutely worth the trip from Bali. Things I loved about this tour: 1. Great communication from tour company and driver — driver picked us up at our homestay in Ubud at 11am, drove us north to visit a Temple, stopped for lunch and picked up some tropical fruit. Smooth and easy ride. 2. Java homestay — lovely homestay with dinner and breakfast included. We snuck in a few hours of sleep from about 10pm-1am and this made a huge difference in giving us energy for the hike (you start hiking at 2am). The dinner and the breakfast they prepared for us after the hike in the morning were both fabulous. 3. Hiking guide — Great guide who took us up the mountain. He took awesome photos of us throughout the hike and even made a video slideshow for us at the end. 4. Mt Ijen! — It's hard to describe how beautiful this spot is. We came for the blue lava and saw a little bit, but it was the volcano, lake, and sunrise that actually ended up being the absolute show-stoppers. It was like nothing I had ever seen! If you're considering this tour, absolutely go for it!! It was an experience I will never forget—you won't regret it!

Gusti came to pick us up at the airport and from there we headed to the first stop, Twin Lake, where he was taking pictures of us. After that we went straight to the ferry. We dined in a very cozy homestay with typical homemade food. We woke up at 1am and from there we made the excursion with a local guide, Pak Sherly who was also very nice and although it was not better time to watch the blue fire, he was looking for a corner so we could enjoy it. After that at the homestay we were served breakfast, shower and back at our hotel. Recommended 100%

I truly recommend the private trip from Bali to the Ijen and Bromo volcanoes with Gusti. He is an experienced guide and driver who prepared everything perfectly. We felt very comfortable with him, and the itinerary was well planned and organized. The Ijen hike may be a bit challenging for those who haven’t hiked before, but the views and the Blue Fire are absolutely worth all the effort. The local guide took great care of us, gave us enough time to rest, and even acted as our photographer. It was an amazing and unforgettable journey! Driving manners and traffic in Indonesia are very different from those in Europe, and some tourists might feel a bit nervous — but with Gusti there’s nothing to worry about. He’s a great driver and a genuinely kind person.
