We just finished the Ottawa ByWard Market Food Tour with Flavia, and we had a wonderful time! Flavia introduced us to several of Ottawa’s long-established, family-owned restaurants, where we enjoyed delicious food while discovering some of the city’s hidden gems. Along the way, she shared fascinating stories about the local history, culture, and the families behind these beloved establishments. We brought our four-year-old daughter with us, and she thoroughly enjoyed every stop on the tour. Flavia was warm, engaging, and made the experience enjoyable for guests of all ages. The food was outstanding, the tour was well-paced, and Flavia was an exceptional guide. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the best of Ottawa’s food scene while learning more about the city’s rich history.

Our guide was exceptional, with so much knowledge and passion, and super friendly, she definetely made this experience even better. She shared so much about the city, the history behind each location, and even the business owners themselves. That personal touch made the whole experience feel unique and genuine. And each stop was fantastic, with rich in culture, and super tasty. This tour is about so much more than food—it's about community, culture, and experiencing Ottawa in the most delicious way. My first tour was to Byward market. I had the best food tour experience in Ottawa so far. I’ve been living in this city since 2024 and I thought I saw alot and I know alot of places but this tour opened my eyes to many hidden gems inside and around the Byward market. The guide was great, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. Value for money was great. We were 4 persons but the guide made us all feel welcome and answered all our questions and we felt the harmony among the group who bonded quickly which made the experience even more pleasant. I highly recommend it especially to those who want to explore a historic spot of Ottawa but they dont have enough days in the city.
The guide was a sweetheart, her recommendations for places to try were great, and her explanations made the tour super pleasant for us. I recommend it not only to walk through the market but to learn about its history and give more value to what you are seeing, in addition to not taking a chance and trying the best of the market since you go with someone who knows what they are recommending.

The best way to spend an afternoon, good food, great company and a history lesson. Flavia a wonderful and knowledgeable host who knows the best spots in Ottawa, we started with Italian and ended local with Indian and English in between 😋, the food sampling portions were satisfying. I would recommend this tour hands down. Thank you Flavia for being such a lovely host.

Amazing Ottawa food tour! Our guide knew every hidden spot and the stories behind them. Tried BeaverTails, poutine, and local craft beer I’d never find on my own. Perfect mix of food + history. Walked a lot but worth every bite. 10/10, highly recommend for first-timers in Ottawa!
