The boat tour was good to pass an hour. However, all you really see are some buildings and are given certain facts about the buildings. Most of them are in relation to politics which is to be expected given the location of the tour. There isn't anything else to see. The guide was lovely. She took the time to check in with everyone during the non speaking party of the tour. This is a nice gesture. The weather was lovely and we had a good time. Just thought I would see more, but otherwise it was all good!
The extra charge for 'priority seats' was ridiculous....the seats had covers on them....made no difference. The experience was not worth the price. Also, i don't need to hear loud music of NOT Canadian musicians while on this cruise. Could have been so much nicer to hear low volume, Canadian talent. I know that this area of Ontario is FULL of interesting facts and information. However, what the guide provided was so brief. Even though we had booked an English tour, he did the presentation in both languages. All the time required for translation could have be used to share more information. Overall, a disappointment.
Great view from the water. Our announcer Cam was very enthusiastic and informative. Great job! Smooth sailing.
superb discovery and great guide.
We had a great tour guide. Her name was wendy she was fabulous
More interested in money than customer service. No help in a difficult situation. No response to our concerns.
I would not recommend this tour. The guide, Wendy, was extremely rude. Two sets of guests were having quiet conversations, and she interrupted them twice to scold them while on her microphone. We could even hear the scolding downstairs, and it was very uncomfortable. It sent a message that we were there for her and not the other way around. She was also hard to understand, and not very interesting. It was hard to find the boat dock. They tell you to arrive 30 minutes early but there was no one there, and nowhere to shelter from the rain. Do t bother with this low-class tour, but if you do don’t bother showing up until about 10-15 before the tour.
Very nice cruise of the Ottawa River. Not to expenssive, the guide was very friendly and pointed out lots to see. We liked the 1.5 hours as then it does not take all your day while still getting to experience it.
Enjoyable cruise and good commentary from staff. It is a good way to get a prelude of things to see and do in the area.
We had problems finding where to park to go on this tour. We call Tripadvisor. They intern called the supplier and the supplier told Tripadvisor. It not in their realm to tell people where to park. It was very hard to find the location for the pick up and I was very that they answered the way they did. First time travelers in the Ottawa looking for help and the supplier could not provide it. All he wanted was his money. Very sad. How did we resolve this? We Uber in and out so we didn't have to try to find parking. Cost us an extra $40. I wish the supplier was just a little more pleasant.
