Alex was a great driver, a history of knowledge of the area and just attentive to our every need and ask. From explaining the geology to how they grow grapes- awesome knowledge
We had the best time!! New to the area and didn’t know much about wineries. They booked everything for us and choose a small, medium and larger estate vineyard. One vineyard had a wonderful lunch option. Would 10/10 recommend
Thank you so much! We pride ourselves in providing the Best Oregon Wine Tour in the Willamette Valley for private and small joinable tours (like this day which was only 4 people). Every tour is custom made with a lunch pairing opportunity at a vineyard setting. Learn more by visiting our site for additional information.
This was supper fun and learned a lot! Drivers were nice and very personable. All 3 wineries we visited were nice! Beckham was amazing!
Tastings and lunch are not included ($40-50 wine tasting fees) in the price. However, Travis did a wonderful job of taking us to a place where we had lunch and wine tasting without wasting any time. Travis is super cool and we had a good time!
Thank you so much for the honest review. We clearly mention that all food and alcohol is separate because it's a lot easier this way as everyone's taste palate is different. But most importantly we do it because generally any tour operator wether here or in Napa take you to an all inclusive wine tasting experience you are getting a sub par experience and wine quality. We want our guests to experience the best of the Willamette Valley not a low cost or sub par option.(We aim middle of the road from rustic to high end to mix it up). Currently the vineyards we visit the tasting fees range from $25-$45 per tasting and generally waived with a 2 bottle purchase. Those that want an Elevated experience or vintage library wines expect to pay $45-$60 per tasting but this is optional and only for those that want to taste reserve specialty wines. For those guests that want something very specific we curate custom tours but you will have to speak with us directly before booking. Cheers 🥂
The wine tour was wonderful! Alex did a fantastic job curating wineries to go to based on our tastes and he was fun, personable and informative throughout the trip! The weather was perfect, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Alex had arranged that as well!! Thanks, Alex! We will be sure to recommend you to our friends.
Alex was absolutely fantastic and completely made this trip among the most memorable we've had! We love Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, and this was a culmination of some of the labels we chase back at home. Benza and Dusty Goose were the highlights. Definitely recommend Alex!
Very personable, knowledgeable guide who took great care of us. We had a fabulous time. Beautiful scenery. Relaxing to let someone else do the driving. The van was comfortable. We had a wonderful experience.
We had an amazing day with our super cool guide Kevin. He was friendly and knowledgeable, but chill. Just the right amount of chatting and sightseeing. The wineries we visited were different from each other but all had incredible views and wonderful wine. Kevin put out a lunch for us that was perfect: you can't beat a charcuterie board. It was an all-around special day that we will never forget!
We visited 3 Willamette Valley wineries and all 3 hosts were super informative, interesting & knowledgeable about their wines. Our guide Teri, was utterly professional, while being very entertaining & knowledgeable about the history of the region & the vineyards she took us to. If you’re a wine lover, give this tour a try when in Portland. You won’t regret it.
I misunderstood and thought the tasting fees were included in the already pricey tour. My husband got very angry and stopped doing any wing tastings after the first stop since they were an additional $30-$40 per person plus tip. Hence to say the day was pretty terrible.
Please read before booking. We provide the best service in the Portland metro with the highest track record of happy clientele and repeat local clients visiting the most sought after vineyards and wineries with careful planning and door to door service in modern comfortable vans. Your misunderstanding and your husband's thriftiness is not our business. We were also not able to reach you until last minute of the tour, your budget concerns could have been addressed and the route adjusted for more budget friendly vineyards, but we had neither your pickup address nor your phone number and after repeated attempts to make contact you called us the night before the tour, did not communicate if you wanted less expensive vineyard stops. In addition you then asked if you can bring your own alcohol and drink in the van, and it appears you were not really signing up for a wine tasting tour but an inexpensive means of getting intoxicated. We wish you luck on your next wine tour or activity experience.
