Bientôt, nous marchons pendant 20 minutes pour atteindre le vieux Delhi historique vieux de 400 ans. Nous essayons soit le tube OU TUK-TUK. Nous entrons dans cette magnifique mosquée imposante de 400 ans construite par le grand empereur "Shahjahan". Celui qui a construit Taj Mahal. Le prix d'entrée de la mosquée est de 450 INR / - Par personne, donc entrer à l'intérieur est facultatif , d'où si vous ne voulez pas payer & entrer, alors prenez des photos de l'extérieur et nous pouvons continuer la promenade.
Nous entrons dans ce quartier patrimonial caché de « l'orfèvre » des empereurs « moghols ». Ils étaient hébergés par les empereurs « moghols » pour leur fabriquer des bijoux faits à la main. Ce qui les distingue, c'est qu'ils fabriquent des bijoux incrustés de pierre. Comme s'ils plaçaient des pierres précieuses comme le "Lapis Lazuli", l'Ambre dans les bijoux. Ils sont très accueillants pour vous faire découvrir leurs secrets de fabrication de bijoux. Explorez également la prise de photos de leurs "Havelis" (demeures patrimoniales)
Profitez de vous promener dans ces rues colorées et vibrantes qui vendent des vêtements et des tenues de mariage en quantité énorme. Toute la rue est animée par les acheteurs de mariage locaux et apprécie de goûter à la nourriture de rue locale et sûre.
Explorez le plus grand marché aux épices d'Asie et promenez-vous parmi les grands sacs d'épices exposés par les familles locales à des fins d'achat. Profitez de l'agitation du commerce de gros et appréciez également l'arôme des épices qui remplit l'air. Et vous avez la chance de vous procurer quelques sachets d'épices/thé de haute qualité.

Jai Singh is an amazing guide. Deeply knowledgeable on local History and traditions he takes you on a journey through small alleys and into old homes. He clearly loves showing old Delhi to his visitors. Highly highly recommend !

If you only do one tour while in Delhi, definitely do this one. Definitely the most worth it, because you will discover amazing places that you wouldn't have discovered on your own.

With so many tour options, I was fortunate to have selected Mr. Jai Singh. Among other things, he was an absolute gentleman, a Delhi historian, an overall friendly and affable person to be around who was willing to push the limits to REALLY show me the underbelly of Old Delhi. Positives: *He really knows Delhi and the backstory for each of the places visited. *He listens to you! I provided him with a list of things I wanted to see and he delivered. And, had add-on's and surprises on top of that. *Hey, I'm a first timer here. HE offered hotel pickup. Thank you *He reads the room well. He displays a genuine interest when I was tired or needed a break as well as pushing the pace when I was ready. And, I SAW Old Delhi like I hadn't in my previous two visits. *Although I'm sure it's part of the cost of booking with him, he OFFERED to pay for miscellaneous items out of his own pocket . He paid for drinks when we were thirsty; out of the generosity of his own heart, he paid for the snacks and Haveli visit. What an absolute gentleman! Mr. Jai Singh was in large part, a reason why I thought India was so great. *We visited a Haveli! Don’t know what a haveli is? Book w/ Mr. Jai Singh for this quiet retreat. Negatives: None On the fence but not enough to drop his score: *It became obvious early on in my trip that guides, drivers, anyone in general had some sort of agreement with different vendors. This trip was not about shopping for me. Yet, every guide including Mr. Singh took me to a store to 'view.' I left with a 130.00 USD scarf which I did not intend on purchasing which my wife ended up loving so there's that....

From meeting Jai and the quick tuk tuk ride to the mosque, we knew we were in good hands. His knowledge, manner and understanding of what would appeal to us made the whole morning truly delightful. Jai was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and personable, and generous. I mentioned that I was interested in my photography so he went out of his way multiple times to find me unique “hidden gem” spots. He helped me track down my ancestral home. The tour was meant to be 3h and he spent an extra hour just out of a desire to go above and beyond. Just superb! Highly Reccomend.
