Le Centre Heydar Aliyev est un complexe de bâtiments de 57 500 m2 situé à Bakou, en Azerbaïdjan, conçu par l'architecte irako-britannique Zaha Hadid et réputé pour son architecture distinctive et son style fluide et courbé qui évite les angles vifs. Le centre porte le nom de Heydar Aliyev, premier secrétaire de l’Azerbaïdjan soviétique de 1969 à 1982 et président de la République d’Azerbaïdjan d’octobre 1993 à octobre 2003.
Old City ou Inner City est le cœur historique de Bakou, la capitale de l'Azerbaïdjan. La vieille ville est la partie la plus ancienne de Bakou. Elle est entourée de murailles faciles à défendre. En 2007, la vieille ville comptait environ 3 000 habitants. En décembre 2000, la vieille ville de Bakou, notamment le palais des Shirvanshahs et la tour de la Vierge, est devenue le premier lieu en Azerbaïdjan à être classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Ali was a great guide, showed us all the sites on the tour, and was very knowledgeable on the backstory. Unfortunately he made a mistake with the booking that meant he was over an hour late for the start of the tour, so have to knock off a star for that.
I loved everything about the trip and everything was arranged and organized in such an amazing and remarkable way really.

Flexible and accommodating guide. Start early if you can, they will avoid crowds and it doesn't get too hot. 10.30am and it is blazing hot in Oct. Bring umbrellas if sun isn't your thing. Private tours are good, get to customise your preferences. We took a drive in the comfort of our cool car instead of doing the 20min stroll, best decision ever. charming Old City. Recommended to walk again in the evening when the lights come on.

This tour was a fantastic way to get a full picture of Baku. We got to explore the charming Old City (Icherisheher), with its cobbled streets and ancient architecture, and then zoomed into the modern, futuristic side of the city, like the Flame Towers. Our guide was super passionate about the history and gave us a lot of cool insights into how the city has evolved. A perfect balance of culture, history, and the cutting-edge side of Baku. Highly recommend for anyone visiting for the first time!
