Il y a tellement de choses à voir du Qatar au-delà de la ville. Vous quitterez Doha pour découvrir l'histoire du Qatar dans ses régions du nord, en commençant par une visite au port d'Al-Khor, un ancien centre riche pour les industries de la perle et de la pêche locales. Il continue d’être un port occupé, rempli de pêcheurs au travail acharné. Le prochain arrêt est Al Thakira, le prochain arrêt, et cette belle étendue de verdure naturelle, pleine de mangroves et de voies navigables glorieuses. C'est un paradis paradisiaque au milieu du désert.Vous vous dirigerez ensuite vers le fort de Zubarah, un fort militaire historique abritant de nombreux artefacts ainsi qu'un site important de la culture qatarienne.

Al Khor est une ville côtière du nord du Qatar, située à 50 kilomètres au nord de la capitale, Doha. Considérée comme l'une des plus grandes villes du Qatar. Al Khor abrite de nombreux employés de l'industrie pétrolière en raison de sa proximité avec les champs de pétrole et de gaz naturel du nord du Qatar et avec la ville industrielle de Ras Laffan. C'est l'un des sites proposés pour la Coupe du monde Qatar 2022.
L'île pourpre, également connue sous le nom d'île d'Al Khor, est un bel endroit à Al Khor, à environ une heure de route de Doha. C'est une petite île, reliée au continent par un chemin étroit qui est brisé en différents points pour permettre à l'eau de s'écouler vers la forêt de mangrove.
Al zubara également connu sous le nom de Fort Zubara (h) est une forteresse militaire qatarie historique construite sous la supervision du cheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani en 1938.
Al Jumail, un village de pêcheurs et de perles abandonné au nord-est du Qatar, qui a été fondé au 19ème siècle et a été habité jusqu'au 20ème siècle, avant le boom économique que l'industrie pétrolière et gazière a apporté. Le nom de la ville vient du mot arabe « jameel », qui signifie « beau » ; une référence aux arbres qui poussent dans la région toute l'année. Selon Wikipedia, dans les années 1820, George Barnes Brucks a été chargé de préparer la première enquête britannique sur le golfe Persique et il a documenté Al Jumail dans cette enquête, l'appelant "Yamale".

A great tour to learn about the early history about Qatar and to see the northern part of the country in half a day
The tour was amazing. Al Khor, Purple Island, Zubara Fort and the Al Jumail abandoned village are beautiful places. Anees was an amazing tour guide. 5 stars.
Our group (4 people) was picked up from the hotel in the Landcruiser. We had a very young guide who drove us from one point to another. There were no explanations for the individual stages, so he was more rider than tour guide. Also the specified time per stop is not correct, that always includes the arrival. So from 45 min Al Khor stayed 5 minutes, in the fish market, one round, out and on. The Purple Island can be reached with a brisk sprint over the jetty in the planned 15 minutes stop, there, back, further. Fortunately, the Zubara Fort is equipped with many notice boards, so you can make yourself known. The tea or coffee mentioned in the itinerary was cancelled due to Ramadan. Overall, the tour is already very interesting, the contrast between Doha and the hinterland could not be greater.

Very awesome experience. Our host was very friendly and informative. He took us to the mangroves, Purple Island, an abandoned village, a fort and even went off road to show us these sculptures in the middle of the dessert. Very nice of him. Excellent experience.
Guide was very attentive, the tour eh long but he was super helpful in every detail. At the stops we had enough time to take care of everything.

We were never picked up, the driver's car had broken down. We were told he would be there 2 hours later, when we asked where he was, he wrote that he was on his way. After another 35 minutes of not hearing from him, we cancelled the trip, he never returned. Really bad service. Now we are anxiously waiting to see if Viator will refund our money.
