À Utah Beach, vous entrerez dans un véritable bunker Allemand qui est maintenant un musée de classe mondiale. Après un déjeuner léger, il est temps pour la prochaine activité – grimper au sommet de 100 – falaises de pied pour repérer les cratères d'impact historiques et les bunkers de béton encore marqués par le conflit. Les Rangers alliés ont escaladé ces parois rocheuses sous le feu intense de l'ennemi pour faire taire les positions Allemandes. Debout ici, le vent au nez, la bravoure de ces soldats prend vraiment vie.
Sous le bluff se trouve Omaha Beach, où les vagues clapotent maintenant tranquillement sur le sable qui a vu les combats les plus acharnés du jour J. This was the most wonderful tour. As a historian, I was mesmerized by Thelma (our guide) whom spoke eloquently and passionately about such an emotional visit. As a student of history, I was captivated by her knowledge and her approachable delivery. I work in logistics and can attest to how smoothly everything went. I will cherish this experience, and will return with like minded history buffs. Teddy Roosevelt is my favorite President, his son, Teddy Jr, was one of the most distinguished and bravest men to have walked Utah Beach. Like every other courageous man and Woman that helped bring liberty beyond the Atlantic Wall and into Europe in those dark days.
The coach was very comfortable (air conditioning kept us cool in the heatwave). Raymond was friendly, knowledgable and was able to relay his knowledge in an enjoyable manner. Highly recommend.

Daniel led a great day long tour through history. I noticed some of the other tour buses had water for their customers, but this was a good value. I wish our visit to Utah Beach was longer
