Nous aimons courir à l'heure et si vous n'êtes pas au point de départ à l'heure d'embarquement annoncée, nous partirons. Il y en aura d'autres à bord qui seront arrivés comme demandé et nous ne voulons pas avoir d'impact sur leur expérience. Si vous arrivez tard, vous devrez prendre un taxi à vos frais pour rattraper la visite. Nous vous conseillons fortement d'arriver tôt pour la visite car aucun remboursement ne sera envisagé si vous manquez le service.
Vous aurez un bon aperçu des débarquements qui ont eu lieu à Omaha Beach le 6 juin 1944. Après quoi, vous aurez environ 15 minutes de temps libre pour marcher sur le sable (en fonction des conditions de marée) où les forces américaines ont atterri. Jour J.
Le guide vous mènera dans l'incroyable cimetière américain et vous expliquera de nombreux faits clés sur la date de sa construction, sur la raison de sa localisation, ainsi que sur de nombreuses histoires d'hommes et de femmes qui sont enterrés ici. Vous aurez environ 45 minutes de temps libre pour explorer par vous-même.
Vous apprendrez le rôle des Rangers américains du jour J qui ont dû escalader les falaises de la Pointe-Du-Hoc pour faire taire les canons allemands à longue portée. Vous aurez suffisamment de temps libre pour explorer par vous-même après les explications données par votre guide.
Le prix de votre visite comprend un billet pour entrer dans l'impressionnant musée Airborne. Votre guide vous donnera suffisamment de temps pour visiter cet endroit fantastique qui vous donnera un meilleur aperçu des opérations aéroportées.
Cette petite ville normande était située sur la route principale N13 qui reliait Cherbourg à Bayeux et Caen. C'était la principale route dont les Allemands et les Américains auraient besoin pour mobiliser l'équipement indispensable pendant la bataille de Normandie. Ste Mère Eglise était un objectif du 82nd Airborne Paratroopers et a été rendue célèbre par le film The Longest Day. Le parachutiste américain John Steele a eu la malchance de se coincer dans le clocher de l'église lors du largage.

Votre guide vous expliquera en détail les atterrissages effectués par la 4ème division d'infanterie américaine avant de vous laisser du temps libre pour explorer les nombreux monuments qui se trouvent ici.
Nous nous arrêterons brièvement pour vous montrer l'un de nos monuments préférés en Normandie. Richard Winters a été choisi pour représenter le leadership en raison de sa renommée mondiale grâce à la mini-série télévisée Band of Brothers.
Nous prendrons le temps d'expliquer l'importance de ce beau petit village. C'était un objectif de la 101e Airborne d'aider les forces débarquant sur Utah Beach.

The driver (Charles) was well-versed in WWII history. He knew soldier numbers, movement, and battle outcomes. My uncle landed on Utah Beach on D Day and made it out of WWII alive. Another traveler’s relative also landed on Utah Beach in D Day. Charles went out of his way to obtain information regarding this individual and my own uncle. He was able to drive on the same pathway as the man did in 1944. Overall, a great value.
Extensive tour of beaches and the American Cemetary led by a very knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humor, Charles, who went above and beyond to make our experience special and memorable.
We had Jordan for our trip. He was great extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of of the history of WWII
We did the Band of Brothers tour with Robin, it was excellent. He is an incredibly knowledgeable guide and able to answer so many of the questions which our group had. The pacing of the full-day tour was good and the details provided during the trip and at each stop helped paint a picture of the D-Day landing. We would recommend this tour. Merci Robin!
Remy was an extremely knowledgeable guide for our tour to Omaha and Utah beaches. He was an amazing story teller and made the battles come alive. My father was in D Day on June 7th as part of the battle. The experience was extremely meaningful to me. Remy honored the sacrifices of the brave men and told their story in great detail. I highly recommend.

Charles was a great guide, really knew his history and was able to answer lots of random questions. He had lots of visual aids to really help us understand the complexities of the subject matter.

Our guide was Jordan and he was terrific. He had a great command of the important dates and details of the Normandy invasion of Omaha and Utah beaches by the United States troops. Jordan met us at 8:45am which is a good time to head for the beaches in order to beat the crowds coming from Paris. Along the drive Jordan provided us with a brief history of the region beginning with the Norman invasion of the area to the German invasion of Poland that began WWII. He explained the circumstances which brought the US into the war, and specifically, to the invasion on June 6, 1944. He provided an overview of the five beaches, and specific challenges - from the air, land and sea - which the Americans faced and had to overcome. The tour included numerous stops, such as: Omaha and Utah beaches, the American Cemetary, and our lunch stop at Sainte-Mere-Eglise including the Airborne Museum. It is surprising the number of monuments commemorating D-Day, showing the appreciation the French people had for the Allies who helped to liberate their country. This is a good tour for anyone interested in WWII history and the United State's role in shaping it. Or for those who would just enjoy a nice day in the French countryside.
