Vous recherchez une visite à pied unique à Bergen qui vous éloigne des quartiers très fréquentés de Bryggen et du marché aux poissons ? Découvrez l'un des secrets les mieux gardés de la ville avec cette visite à pied de la péninsule de Nordnes. Nordnes est une péninsule longue de 1 km (0,6 mile) qui s'étend jusqu'au port de Bergen. Alors que la Ligue hanséatique dominait le commerce à Bryggen, c'est à Nordnes que les marchands norvégiens développèrent leurs activités. Mais Nordnes était également le centre du pouvoir à Bergen, et fut le palais de justice et le lieu d’exécution de la ville pendant des centaines d’années. C'est également là qu'on brûlait les sorcières aux XVIe et XVIIe siècles. Au XIXe siècle, c'est devenu une plaque tournante des marins et du quartier chaud, avec ses ruelles étroites et sombres, l'endroit idéal pour cacher les activités d'infiltration. Aujourd'hui, c'est un quartier populaire (et cher) avec des familles, des écoles et de magnifiques parcs. Nous limitons la taille du groupe car cette visite traverse un quartier résidentiel. Nous nous promenons dans Strandgaten, la rue principale historique des marchands norvégiens. Mais nous ne nous contenterons pas de descendre ici - nous sortirons des sentiers battus pour des vues uniques sur Bergen.
Nous nous arrêtons devant Nykirken, l'église construite pour les marchands au 17ème siècle. Edvard Grieg a été baptisé ici. Mais nous parlerons également de la résidence des archevêques qui s'y trouvait autrefois.
Après avoir emprunté quelques rues secrètes de Nordnes (il faudra faire le tour pour les découvrir !), nous arrivons à mi-parcours, le Nordnes Park.
En revenant vers la ville, nous entrons dans l'un des quartiers les mieux préservés de Bergen. Ici, nous verrons la maison de la culture et ses environs.
Nous nous arrêtons devant ce qui a été élu la plus belle rue de Bergen.
Pour la dernière partie de la visite, nous nous dirigeons vers le quartier marin bien préservé de Nostet.
En rentrant dans la ville, nous passons devant le théâtre de Bergen.
Nous terminons dans le centre-ville de Bergen.

We did this self-guided tour late in the evening. What a magnificent discovery. It was a fabulous route through these narrow streets with colorful facades. An indelible memory.
We had an amazing time on this tour! It was incredibly informative, but also fun and engaging. Our guide RIGMOR kept us focused the whole time with great storytelling, a wonderful sense of humour, and lots of interesting facts about Bergen. We also really appreciated all the local recommendations for restaurants and cafés, which made the rest of our visit even better. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bergen. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
Nicholas, What an amazing tour of Bergen! Perfect choice for our first few hours in the city. Our guide gave us some great stories to understand the city’s past and present. This was an excellent tour hosted by our guide Dane, who lives in the area so he was able to give us the full benefit of his local knowledge. He was enthusiastic, knowlegable and open to any questions we had. As the title says this area is a hidden gem, with so many lovely old streets and a lovely headland, very much worth a visit. Dane had many interesting stories about the history of this area. We had been in Bergen before so had seen the main sites of Bryggen etc, so it was good to be able to hear some more about a less visited but still very interesting part of Bergen. We would highly reccommend giving this area a look as it is just as interesting and less busy than the usual Bryggen area. We were especially pleased that they ran the tour for us as the two of us were the only ones on the walk, many other tours would have been cancelled if a minimum wasn't reached, so this was good customer service from I love Bergn.

I enjoy strolling through parts of a city I'm visiting, so this was a welcome activity. Nordnes has some gorgeous streets that are worth wandering down, and Magda was an excellent tour guide with clear passion for the area. As I had done one other tour from this same company, she was able to skip over stories that I had already heard, so it felt like a more personal tour. Would recommend if you fancy taking in a quieter part of the city.
