The most memorable day. Had everything. Host Dave was incredible, his knowledge, wit and humour made a great day even better. If there is a complaint, it's there wasn't enough time spent at each location. A must.
What a fabulous day. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We had an extremely comfortable, air conditioned, new bus with an excellent driver, Don. Our guide John was really interesting. Having lived in Toronto for a long time he was able to share lots of information in a really authentic way. It was interstellar how things had changed etc. The falls surpassed my expectation. The boat ride was lots of fun and the organisation so slick. Lunch had a great view. It was three course and given the number they were serving they did a great job. We loved the ride through the gorge to the wineries. The tasting was good and we purchased some wine to enjoy at home. We particularly enjoyed our stop in Niagara on the Lake. Such a beautiful town. We enjoyed a quick drink and a portion of poutine. A fabulous day all round. Thank you John and Don x
A wonderful, if long, day out to the falls. Decent lunch, comfortable full seized bus, great boat trip to get soaked and a short wine tasting stop. Traffic on the return was a pain and added considerable delay. The standout was Nikki our guide. Total treasure and lovely person. She worked hard all day, including all the extra time we were delayed.
Travelled with husband and son. Transport Pick up arranged via company to a pick up point near where we were staying as we were slightly outside downtown. Prompt pick up & return times by Don our friendly driver. Communication from Viator Excellent via email and app, first time using this company, would definately use again. Tour Guide Dave our tour guide was well organised and made the trip interesting from start to finish with history and facts about the areas we travelled through. Niagara - falls and meal Plenty of time to explore falls viewing area. 3 course meal included in local restaurant overlooking falls - food was lovely, 2 choices we had soup, chicken supreme and berry crumble with a soft drink. Seated in long tables with people on tour which was a great way to meet others from across the world. Boat trip on falls, great fun, prepare to get showered (not soaked) ponchos provided. The falls really are an amazing sight!! Bit of a queue approx 1/2 hour after boat ride to top due to queues for lift as funicular lift was not in service. Winery Short stop, with wine tasting and opportunity to buy wine in the store. Niagara on the Lake Lovely place, quaint, historic with lots of bespoke shops. Had approx an hour to explore before return to coach to Toronto. Overall, memorable experience that was excellent value for money.
We did the Niagara boat tour and “journey behind the falls” whilst visiting Toronto. We very much enjoyed our time - Ryan was our guide, and he’s a great resource for all things Niagara Falls. This variation of the tour is quite long - we were scheduled for 4:30 and didn’t exit the boat and wrap up until almost 7:30. It also included a lot of walking, so wearing comfortable shoes and being physically able to walk for miles is necessary. The journey behind the falls was a bit of a racket, honestly. It’s very crowded and hot this time of year, cramming into lines and elevators to go beneath the falls and see it from an inner tunnel. A cool experience, nonetheless. The boat tour is obviously the most exciting bit - you are quite literally on a boat in the middle of the falls, which is incredible. But beware - getting wet is virtually unavoidable, even with the super stylish plastic ponchos. The thing that was maybe most surprising to me was the intense commercial nature of it all. Casinos, arcades, shops, restaurants, etc. It is obviously many folks’ livelihood there, but I wasn’t anticipating a natural resource / wonder being somewhat like an amusement park.
A really enjoyable trip with our excellent guide Nikki, who kept us informed and entertained throughout the day. Lunch and wine tasting were good, if a little hurried, and Niagara on the Lake was lovely. All three were added bonuses to the star attraction of our visit, Niagara Falls. The only negative was that meeting instructions were unclear, first stating one location then another further down the street, with the result that passengers were waiting at various points along the street as we were unsure exactly where the coach was picking us up.
It was a very long day (11 1/2 hours). We were late leaving , waiting for one client and late arriving in Niagara. The lunch was lovely and a great location. The lines for the boat tour were long. Other Tour Directors took their clients ahead of us. We were so late that the Wine Tasting and visit to Niagara on the Lake were short and rushed. If this happens as often as I suspect it does, cut out the Wine Tasting. Niagara on the Lake is beautiful and to only have 45 minutes to look around is not okay. The Tour Guide, Nikki, was wonderful.
The ride to and from was comfortable. I enjoyed the air conditioned bus ride. The Niagara Falls boat ride was definitely worth it. The lunch that came included was subpar. Definitely wouldn’t recommend getting the added on lunch package. Service was terrible and the food options were bland. The vineyard experience was also subpar. It was a quick tasting and immediately followed with ‘buy our wine.’ Didn’t get to see the vineyard up close or learn much about the company making the wine. Loved visiting Niagara on the Lakes. It was the reliever I needed away from the big Toronto city. Would have much preferred lunch there than at Niagara Falls. I think what was the ultimate disappointment was the conversation I overheard between the driver and our tour guide. They were splitting their tips and it was obvious the tour guide was displeased with the tip he got from a senior veteran. He stated, “They only tipped $20 considering I helped him around with his walker?” I was shocked to hear that! Considering most senior citizens are on a fixed income in the US, a $20 tip was impressive in my opinion. I didn’t leave a tip for the inappropriate comments. I guess they forgot I was on the bus along with two other people who were being driven to our drop off location. My recommendation, buy only the Niagara Falls boat ride and experience the towns and vineyards on your own.
Very full day. Niagara Falls and boat ride so much fun. Good lunch and lots of interesting stops. Our guide Nikki was great!
Perfect tour for short time in the city. The niagara at the lake town is beautiful. The cruise tour was the best
