Nice experience. One way more than enough.
We bought crystal cabin for better view. To our greatest disappointment , the cabin windows are spammed with tooooo many advertisements stickers. It totally spoiled the views. I would have just pay standard fee and get the same view like the crystal one. Not recommended.
Mainly, the price of tickets is high, the market has too little in-house food, and the price is not reasonable, a ice cream ball costs $68, and the level of the Watson ice room is more than a hundred yuan for lunch, please the authorities and merchants to adjust the fee to a reasonable level, so that local and foreign visitors feel that things are worth too much, and the overall environment and ecological conservation are doing well!
Loved this! It was better that I thought! Did not realise it was 20 minute ride on the gondola, and the views! Wow!! Then the walk around the actual area and to the Buddha, views views and more views!
Gorgeous ride over the mountains of Hong Kong. We did not opt for the crystal (glass bottom) car and I am so glad because that is not for those wary of heights! Cute but artificial little ‘village’ at the top on the way to the big Buddha with modern conveniences. Do note that it is subject to temporary closure depending on weather (winds?)- when we arrived it was closed and we had to kill a couple hours in the mall across the road, after which it had reopened. Good thing because I would not want to be in one of those cable cars in a windstorm!
MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR REFUND. The cable cars are often closed due to inclement weather. I booked our group's tickets online and my card was charged. We found out the next day that the ride was closed ...not from an email, which would have been nice...but by showing up in-person to find the shuttered operation. Thankfully I checked my credit card statement and found they had not automatically refunded my purchase. After inquiring where my refund was, the operator asked me to fill out a form and wait 5 to 8 weeks. Nope. Charge back incoming.
As a local, it’s first time catching the cable car at night! I was lucky enough to enjoy both sunset views and night view seeing the airport silhouette. Overall experience of celebrating its 20 anniversary was wonderful.
Very good activity to do, but go early because it is crowded and the walk to the cabins is long. But the route is very pleasant and very pretty. Upon arrival, the Buddha is magnificent and a few temples around are very pretty.
My family and I caught the MTR train to the end of the line and walked across the road to the ticket booth. We lined up for 5-6 minutes before getting to the ticket booth. Once there we asked what the wait times were? Standard was 1hr and Crystal was 10 minutes, we bought crystal going up and standard going down. The ride was amazing the views are amazing. At the top we waited about 10 -15 minutes for a standard ride down the mountain.
BEWARE! A queue is a total disaster. Standing for hours, people are getting inside without queue … like a lottery? chaos and disorder which makes this cable car total unattractive. Completely
