Le sanctuaire de chimpanzés de l'île de Ngamba, situé sur le lac Victoria en Ouganda, offre une occasion unique d'observer des chimpanzés orphelins et sauvés dans un environnement forestier naturel. Créé en 1998, le sanctuaire s'étend sur 100 acres, 98 % de la superficie étant boisée, offrant un refuge sûr à plus de 50 chimpanzés

Itinéraire
Commencez votre journée avec un ramassage matinal à votre hôtel à Kampala ou Entebbe. Vous vous rendrez par la route à la jetée du front de mer d’Entebbe, située près du Centre d’éducation faunique de l’Ouganda (UWEC). Le trajet dure environ 1 à 1,5 heure, selon le trafic.
Arrivez à l'embarcadère et enregistrez-vous pour votre transfert en bateau à l'île de Ngamba. Après un bref briefing et un montage de gilet de sauvetage, montez à bord d'un hors-bord ou d'un canot motorisé traditionnel (selon votre forfait). La promenade en bateau dure environ 45 minutes, offrant une vue magnifique sur le lac Victoria, les bateaux de pêche et les petites îles.
À votre arrivée, vous serez accueilli par le personnel du sanctuaire. Une brève séance d’orientation présente l’histoire du sanctuaire, les histoires des chimpanzés et la mission de conservation du sanctuaire.
Transfert de retour à Kampala ou retour à Entebbe Après avoir accosté à Entebbe, votre chauffeur vous ramènera à Kampala ou vous déposera à votre hôtel ou aéroport d'Entebbe.
