Fantastic day out Highly recommend
Exceptional! The cruise was exactly as described online and delivered everything it promised and more... The crew were really lovely, professional, and nice to chat with. I spent most of the trip on the top deck, and the atmosphere was great -- relaxed, happy, and beaming with excitement whenever a whale was spotted ;) Overall, it's a great family activity catering to people of all ages. Complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits (including a gluten-free option) were available downstairs. And, as a bonus, we also got beautiful views of Newcastle's coastline 🐳✨
Great morning watching whales, dolphins and seals just off beautiful Newcastle harbour. Well paced trip on nicely equipped boat with friendly and helpful crew, everyone had a great time.
What a way to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon than cruising around the headlands of Newcastle on a Nova Cruises Whale Watching tour. Didn't see any whales but it was still enjoyable & highly recommend 👌 👍
We were vary happy with our Whale Watch cruise. Very friendly and helpful staff as well as coffee and cake. We were lucky enough to experience the whales breaching and having a great time. They are amazing animals.
We saw whales spouts before we left the harbor just amazing, mom and calf around us. Obviously they did not get to close but we followed several crests, tail waves and spouts. fun and exciting. waves were substantial, if weather permits, go on top
weather was inclement, cruise had to be cut short because of gale force winds, staff were great, no one can control weather. We were just unlucky
Wonderful cruise we seen several whales and had a great time. If you get seasick make sure to take the seasick tablets they provide. Great activity no matter what your age.
Thank you
I took a group of seniors for a 3 hour port of Newcastle cruise for Xmas In July. The staff were great, food delicious, great commentary from the Captain. There was a trivia comp as well as best dressed etc. Live music with carols. The boat has amazing views. Would recommend this cruise to everyone.
Thank you for the lovely feedback Jenny. Hopefully we will see you onboard again soon.
We joined a Nova Cruise up the mighty Hunter River to the former river port of Morpeth. It traced the journey once taken along this river by all sorts of traders bringing produce from the Hunter Valley to Sydney last century. This was the quickest route in those days before fast road travel or railways. Quite apart from the historic context, its such a pretty trip. Youll leave the industrial areas of Newcastle passing through mangrove lined areas full of water birds. Then into farming areas with cattle grazing and historic homesteads. Youll pass beneath historic bridges and finally end up in historic Morpeth. Tea and coffee are available with a variety of snacks served. You'll spend a couple of hours in Morpeth for lunch - which could have been longer - but is limited by the tides. The port is only accessible at certain times when the tide is high. Then its home the way you came. SUMMARY: interesting view of the river which you can watch from inside or on an upper deck. Morpeth also interesting and pretty.
